After the kind of offense the Flyers have had their past few games, it's incredible we shut them out like that. Absolutely incredible. Well done.

Based on the pressure and everything he had to endure, this performance so far is better than what the stats are saying. Simply unreal.

I don't think we've ever seen Price play with this level of confidence. He looks like he can stop anything (and he usually has). Absolutely unreal so far.

Honestly, it may not be much of a stretch to say that Price may be playing the best hockey of his career..

i know im being nitpicky by bringing this up, but price was 15-6, 2.06 GAA 0.936 sv % the year he took hamilton to the calder cup, im just saying, i know that was AHL, but the stats prove that this kid CAN play like a superstar when the time calls for it

but in all seriousness He's ABSOLUTELY playing the best hockey of his career right NOW, and i expected it with the team handing him the number 1 job and shipping out halak and i assumed price would "appreciate" being kept over a playoff hero

It just blows me away how good Price can be. His lateral movements are just seemingly effortless and quick, his glove is trapping everything, he has a good blocker, his stick handling is amazing and it looks almost impossible to beat him down low. I'm a goalie so I tend to look at positioning and style a lot so I've been noticing this from the begining and its the reason I've always cringed at the thought of trading him.

I hope he continues playing well, he could become one of the best. His technique is so sound and looks so effortless that I believe he really gets into players head. I don't remember the last time I saw a goalie make it look so damn easy!

I checked the stats too. I'm praying for one last thing from Price. Extended consistency...He's had hot streaks before, I'm just hoping he keeps it up. I'm a big Price fan and it's nice to see the stats he has and the confidence that he's showing. Here's a quick snapshot...

SV% .930 - 6th overall
GAA 2.05 - 6th overall
Wins 11 - 3rd (3 way tie for 1st)overall
SO 3 - 2nd overall

I see Garon up there in SV% and GAA. No offense to him but I expect some of those stats to come back down to earth a little. If Price can display the consistency I'm praying for...Carey will be top 5 in 4 MAJOR goaltending stats. I always hoped for him to be a top 5 goalie but I didn't think it would be this early...and Yes I am getting a little too excited.

lol as you say, 3 way tie for first makes him T-1st, not 3rd.. , it makes everyone at 10 wins T-4th, and so on. didnt you learn anything from golf! >.<

He's ranked 3rd because of the tie breaker which is games played. By your logic the guys tied for 4th with 10 wins (There currently isn't a tie) should be tied for 2nd which you contradicted in your post.

He's playing insanely well but I remain cautiously optimistic. I will tell everyone to GTFO when he (or the team) pull together a string of bad games.

This without Markov.

May?...
It definitely isn't a stretch at all. He is playing the best hockey of his career. He's making highlight reel saves every single night. I have a hard time seeing how any keeper could play better.
