Just keep Ballard away from Malkin, he's been concussed once already this season.

*sigh*.... one of the few stretches we get the chance for a healthy D-core and we never even get to see it.

This team can win alot of games they don't really deserve to with

Edler - Ehrhoff
Hamhuis - Bieksa
Alberts - Ballard

IMO

Seemed to me like most of his issues were just mental; getting rattled, playing nervous and over-committing etc. The fact that he has to change the way he plays kind of worries me.
I'm wondering if you see the irony of criticising him for a trait that has directly led to him being one of the foremost athletes in the world at his chosen position. That being: He is never content. He's never sitting back and going "I've got it all figured out." The best artists, musicians, athletes, scientists (or whatever) are always learning and adding to their skillset, no matter what level they are at. The best of us are forever students, or forever projects -- if you like.

I'm curious to see how physical a Torres-Malhotra-Hansen + Ballard-Alberts unit can be

If we had a coach that knew what "hard matching" was then maybe we'd see Kesler line checking Crosby's line all night and Malhotra line checking Malkin all night.

I'm sure the Sedins can work their way around Staal a few times.

4th lines wash.

This is an even match up, could go either way. Looks to be slated to be a good game.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Staal injured? I think Letestu is centering their 3rd line...not sure though.

Oh yeah totally slipped my mind.

All the better for us then, no?

It really depends though, Canucks have a terrible habit of mimicking the other team. When we go in against bottom feeders we play like one (buff) but when we go against top contenders we play like one also (detroit).

Hopefully we play like a contender.

I want Ballard to have a beast game so AV can stop being a derp.

Would like to see a consistent 60 min effort tonight. Especially on the top line. Aware that the bros. have been carrying much of the offense, but would like to see them step it up at both ends of the ice.

Expecting Ballard to see limited ice time, but hopefully he has a solid "simple" game. Anyone aware if its Fleury or Johnson getting the start?

Hansen is the only one to have fought Cooke IIRC. They had a scrap in the game where Luongo pulled his groin two years ago...he did pretty well.
