Gorges and Halpern not at the practice(Update:No concussion/could both play tomorrow)

Habs were training with 5D, so ironically, one week ago, we had 8D, now we have 5

If they are not available for tomorrow's game, who should we call up? Weber? White?

I think Gorges will be good to go for tomorrow, Halpern not so sure.

If we're going to replace Gorges though, a guy like Weber wouldn't be the answer. His offensive upside is nice, but the kid gets manhandled in the defensive zone and needs more time to work on that game. As for Halpern, White would be a nice call up. The head smacking into the boards was pretty nasty, but what worried me more was when the back of his head hit the ice.

calm down, gorges might be purely precautionary, Halpern on the contrary looked shooken up I'd personally call up white and let Eller center the third line. Just my 2 cents though

Both hits scared me. Gorges is riding his "iron man" streak which makes me nervous in that he may keep playing despite what he may feel. Gorges got up slow and was wobbly. But here is to hoping they are both okay and it's precautionary in both cases.

Didn't like the O'Byrne trade because D is a high attrition position especially in the JM system which includes a lot of shot blocking. I gotta believe they are awaiting the official, official prognosis on Markov to make their next move on D whether it be a recall or a trade.

It stands to reason that if Halpern was ok, he'd still get the day off to make sure he doesn't exert himself after suffering a mild concussion. So can't read too much into it.

On tsn the Montréal channel they said Halpern was fine. There's still 31 hours for him to heal.

If Halpern isn't able to go, then I hope it's White who gets called up.

Though, they'll probably just re-insert Boyd. It is against Nashville.

Gorges finished the game and looked good. The man is a human sponge, you can beat him as much as you want, he always gets back up. I'm guessing this was just a rest day.

As for Halpern, it could be the same thing. He looked rattled up, but at the same time he wanted to get back on the bench after the hit. Maybe he was lost, not sure. I guess we'll see.

What I just hope doesn't happen like last year, is that once we started getting injured, it seemed we lost a new player every game. Hopefully that doesn't happen again.

Gorges had a really ruff night, hit hard, an elbow to the head, high sticked... Guy just getting a "spa day" massage and all

Wouldn't worry much

They want to cut down on head shots? well 2 in a game by the same player should warrant a game misconduct for sure. No question!

Let Gorges rest along with Halpern.

Bring in White and Henry so they kick some ass.

The AK penalty against Richards was the biggest joke of the night. Richards slashes, and hits the numbers near the boards, AK turns around and pushes him, then Richards goes nuts and starts swinging with his gloves on, and somehow the habs are on the PK there.

A suspension for Powe head hunting ? Forget about it. You can just imagine Campbell laughing it up with whoever replaced Walkom.

Funny thing is I remember Bégin had some legal hard hits a couple years ago where he was thrown out of the game and did a lot less on those plays than Powe on any of his two retarded head hunting hits.

So refs won't do anything, league won't do anything... what else is new?

Great news... I'm surprised the Habs haven't called up a dman yet.. They have no extra dman around in case of a last minute injury if one of the regular dmen can't go..

They are both supposed to play tomorrow, they were just banged up and given a day off.
