Other Flyers Controversy

Supposedly Lapierre choked Hartnell in a scrum last night. Surprised this doesn't get more coverage, because it's a much more serious accusation. But in reality, what a bunch of whiners.

Who cares what anyone on the Flyers says? If the NHL were a family, the Flyers would be the deadbeat convict brother that everyone else is ashamed of.

The Flyers are like the little toddler that runs around hitting and kicking other kids, but as soon as one hits him back he starts bawling and runs to tell his mommy.

I guess that's what happens when people finally stand up to bullies.

It's Hartnell, who the **** cares?

Why is it that Philly always goons it up, yet when a team stands up to their garbage, they ***** about it? It's mind-boggling, really.

I still think it was a funny clip where they showed Shelly randomly skating around giving guys shots in the back trying to start something and they just turned around and laughed. Pathetic. It was like he was Bobo the Instigator Clown

Or how about Richards cross checking AK twice from behind at the Flyers bench. Even though it cost us two minutes I liked seeing AK go after Richards and give him a return shot. Richards looks at him like "hey you can't do that". Richards is such a sniveler

As for Hartnell? Who cut your hair?????

He didn't choke him long enough. Max, you need to do it for about 120 seconds. Count slowly. Then, let go. You'll see, it works.

To me the Flyers sound a lot like their coach, a whiner.

They should maybe focus on why they lost, and not try to deflect attention away from the fact Montreal beat them soundly.

I hope the Flyers are like this on Monday, it shows their focus isn't on the ice.

So, in essence, Richards, The Lion King (Hartnell) and Daniella all complained last night.

And Pronger was having fun with the reporters, relaxed like no other.

Go figure.

What a bunch of god damn crybabies. I used to hate them for their cheap shots but now I hate them for their whining. The next time a flyers fan complains about crosby I will laugh in his face.

They were whining in the 70's, the 80's the 90's, the 00's and today.

Philadelphia wouldn't be Philadelphia without the whining. It's part of the fabric of the city.

And I heard the Habs were careless with their stick when Giroux lost his glove. They could have hurt Giroux's hand.

And they were too physical on Briere.

Habs :

Richards, Hartnell, Pronger, Brière... Go no further to ask how the Flyers organization manages to always accumulate the dregs of professional sports fans.

I'm sorry JrHockeyFan, but it appears you have that situation entirely wrong. I'll leave it to Tim Panaccio of CSN Philly to describe the play as it happened:

So as you can see, innocent little Mike Richards was just trying to play hockey according to the rules of the game and inspire poor orphan children when nasty big goon Andrei Kostitsyn of Montreal attacked him from behind then cowardly ran away. To be honest, I'm surprised you don't remember the play unfolding in that manner

You guys gotta give some props to Timonen for not commenting on his own goal and Cammalleri's stick lift a second before, which made him lose his stick... For the rest, obviously trying to stir some **** and make us stop playing 'our' type of game... Fook them I say

exactly...
tacitical, this stuff.
And it's been money in the bank come play-off time for the Flyers. But no we have PK- who doesn't back down.

They'll be playing us that way... Richards and Hartnell, whoever else, are just trying to goad PK-the rest of the Habs, into forgetting about the game and focusing on the fights/battles.

However, the Flyers really are starving for media attention. Tim Pinocchio just isn’t enough. They’re hockey’s privileged self-important socialites. You can see them on all the shows, with their wise-magnetism, just generally explaining how the game is played, what’s fair- that sort of thing - for all us lay-people. Without the gospel according to Richards (he’s what a 4-year vet), and the Flyers how would any of us have any idea about hockey.

Sheesssh Richards spent too much time in Philly if he thinks that'll work. He'll make a nice footnote in the PK Subban story, though
