I am in my 4th (and final) year at the University of Wisconsin getting my undergraduate degree in History with a minor in environmental studies. I am currently in the market for jobs, but I have been getting interviews and informational discussions with connections (it is all about who you know!).

I interned the past 3 years at an energy company in Southern California and worked on energy efficient program management. I mostly worked through excel massaging data and trying to find the best kWh savings for residential customers. It was pretty rewarding seeing customers save money on their energy bills. I hope to get hired on full time when I return back to Los Angeles in the Spring, but the market is so tough.

If I am unable to secure a full time position, I will take the GMAT or LSAT and go to graduate school after taking a year off to study for the exam. Either way, only a few more months of the good life, in college.
what sort of history did you focus on? i focused on medieval/roman

Not sure if anyone said they were a lawyer on here, but if anyone is and needs a summer intern, let me know! I've got some experience and grades above the curve!

Immigration judge.

Retired in 2007, but I'm asked back from time to time.

Just spent 2 weeks in BC (Tamil refugee claimants that came aboard a boat 3 months ago).

Wow, that must have been a huge job. There were a few hundred, weren't there?

Thanks man. I get that a lot when I've told people about my job next year haha and I don't really blame their boredom with it... it just clicks with me. Plus, can't argue with D.C. (at least for a country kid like me)

UVA football is ... well... horrific unfortunately. I have a couple good friends on the team so I hate badmouthing them but they really are terrible. It's all about the bball team now

Figure this would be the best thread to post in, but anyone know a decent job listing site that is not monster.com? I am graduating in the spring with a major in Sports Management and minors in Business and Communications, but it seems like that site doesn't have much of anything posted.

I got an offer to dust a 24 incher with no PS3 for higher pay. I could let some people at my school know you are looking though. It's tough out there...
