Since it is the big storyline of this game it's only right to talk about him. Is anybody else less than impressed with Kostityn this year? I know he hasn't had lots of ice time and he hasn't had too much time on scoring lines but he seems just way too passive to me. He isn't very fast and he doesn't work hard enough to create space for himself to use his playmaking ability. Unless he hasn't a drastic turnaround I don't expect him around next year and I think his time in the NHL will have come to a close.
Too funny. And if Dumont didn't go offside, we would have had a 3 0n 2 and scored. If they scored on the 5 on 3 do we blame Sully or Fransen?
Dumont didn't go offsides, and it wasn't a guaranteed goal anyway. We had numbers when Suter missed the open right side of the net.
Couldn't blame Franson. His high sticking penalty was complete crap. I slowed it down and looked for contact. It never happened. Sully definitely deserved a hooking call, though. On a side note, Franson hasn't looked so bad tonight. The one bad call against him I won't count. He had a Goc-like (pun intended) defensive effort behind Rinne in the first that easily could've been the game opening goal for Montreal.
