Their goalie was better (for once) and they have a much bigger and tougher D than us.

This type of game was to be expected... Infact I know myself and many others called it in the pre-game chat.

Not saying this is Price's fault! I'm the biggest Price fan around.

Now Montreal risks losing three in a row....

Tonight vs Nashville
Auld vs toronto
Philly on MOnday
Yep and I am not confident at all with Auld in net.

This makes no sense. Game was over at 3-0, trust me, I know how to get attention on this board and creating a PGT thread is not it.

This was a game where we missed Markov's transition game. He's so patient with the puck. We needed that tonight.

4th line stood out, which is probably why we lost. When your top players are not your top players....
With or without Markov we lose this game.. It was a trap game from the start, and by that I don't mean Barry Trotz system.

I guess I'lll give my top 3 to;

HM: Gorges.
HM: Picard.
3) Pyatt.
2) Plekanec.
1) Eller.

Price, Darche, Moen, Kostitsyn, and Halpern were decent too, but not quite up to par.

Rinne got a little lucky, but when you're good, you create your own luck.

Gomez is terrible, put Eller on the 2nd line. He looked like the most dangerous forward for us.

The only way for the Habs to prevail against that strategy is being opportunistic on the PP.

Very bad game and one they just have to move on from.

Price was very ordinary although the only real stinker was the 3rd goal and lets be honest, how the team played, the game was over at 2 - 0.

Gomez and Spacek were by far the worst players on the ice. I can buy slow starts but we are getting to 1/4 mark of the season, and this starting to appear that this is what got from these guys this year.

On a positive, i thought it Ellers best game of the year.

The Habs PP or lack thereof was a big reason why the Habs lost tonight.. They were doomed to fail after squandering those PP chances in the 2nd..

Full credit to Rinne and the Preds.. They played a tough and textbook road game and deserved the 2 points.. They were the better team tonight..

Most dull game so far. Price didn't have that same swagger second period on. Please for the love of god start Auld once and a while. Martin is running poor Price into the ground. Auld has to play 2 of every 10 for us to have a living goalie come playoff time.

Eller's best game as a Hab though. That was nice.

Spacek is convincing me that he's a good bottom pair guy but cannot handle the minutes he gets when markov is out. I don't care who gets hurt: play him 18ish minutes a night and we have an effective player. Play him like they have been and he's a liability.

Gomez needs to something. I'd start with a trip to the press box Saturday.

And Lapierre continues to be horrifically miscast as a second liner. In fact I'd argue miscast as an NHLer. He is a non factor on offense, a non factor on defense and not exactly physically intimidating. Does anyone have any idea what he does do?

I wrote it in the GDT. I was pretty sure that Nashville would do a "NJ borefest" to the Habs.

Beware of the leafs now. They just won 2 in a row.

It's gonna be a huge Toronto vs Montreal during the week end with the hockey and football games

JM is clueless when it comes to setting up lines. He mixes lines that make no sense. Then puts some of our better players like Eller on **** lines. The guy confuses the hell out of me with his strange/weird line combinations.

I really liked Eller's energy and decisions tonight. Now just give him scoring wingers. And the outcome of that game will help making a decision of inserting Weber in the lineup.
