Correct me if Im wrong here, they raised the price of season tickets this year, substantially in some cases, while at the same time cutting payroll and purposely icing a last place team, is that correct?

so so true, this is the most depressing place sometimes (last few weeks)

We suck, but we're going to have to live through it. Complaining all the time about everything (like the way we're practising) only serves to frustrate

In fact it looks at times like they have no coach at all. They just showed up for some shinny.
yeah I agree with you a bit, Brule can win a faceoff, Cogliano is real soft as we all know.

I wonder what happened to Tom Gilbert, hopefully he can perform.

I dont agree with him playing Strudwick more often than not.

Yeah and now we see that Khabibulin got over played.

and Jones is no PP specialist but I guess he shoots pucks at the net but I do know Renney needs to discipline this team some what, we have more composure and respect than what we have showed in the recent games thats for sure.

Not the board....just two or three guys. They just post lots. I actually think that most of us are fine, but at the same time we have some expectations for this team in terms of effort.

They had to pay for the fired Quinns salary still.

He hasn't had Gilbert sit in the press box, so he hasn't tried everything.

Yup. Mickey Mouse organization.

And it isn't Katz taking the hit for Souray playing in the minors. It's the season ticket holders. Vote with your wallet when renewal time comes around.

my underline for emphasis. i don't understand the whining about ticket prices...if the demand is there, why wouldn't Katz up the ticket prices? gotta pay for the new arena, gotta pay salary to the cap limit when we're competing, gotta pay for Souray in the minors, gotta pay support staff, gotta pay the AHL salaries, etc., etc.

if you don't support it, don't support ticket demand by paying to go to games.

I don't think Renney decided to systematically make coaching decision so that Gilbert regresses in his play.

Gilbert's uncoachable. He hasn't changed one bit since he first started playing for the Oilers, under three different coaches. He makes the same mistakes today that he was making in his rookie season.
