The Business of Street Hockey

Okay I'm a hockey player that has a different view, I use to play hockey but hung up my skates as I saw my career on ice wouldn't have taken me far but i still have a passion for the game on street and blades. Is there anyone out there that has any idea of a pro street hockey league not roller but just street?

I don't think anyone would watch a pro street hockey league. I guess if they had cars randomly driving by and interrupting the game, it might make it a little more interesting, but that wouldn't change the fact that it's street hockey. Fun to play, boring to watch.

I guess it would be better than roller hockey, but pretty much anything is better than roller hockey.

neat concept,
but I really doubt it would go any farther then small local leagues.
I know of at least one here in my town, that has 8-10 teams i beleive

not sure if something like that would ever fly, but if it does I would want in...I love playing any way that I can and some of the most fun I've had in the past year or two has been building a hockey net for my boys and playing out in the driveway with them...

Although street hockey is fun for pickup games on, well-the street, it wouldn't play well in an arena. That's why we have Lacrosse, much better than, street hockey.

Wouldn't it be called Ball Hockey. I know there are a lot of Ball Hockey leagues in the summer in my area.

ASHI is the pro league (ball hockey). played in arenas. Buffalo Fusion are the top team now (www.buffalofusion.com).

the world ball hockey championships were in the Czech Republic. you can watch video at www.pilsen2009.com. check out the Team USA vs Canada game.

It is not pro and it is not street but it is ball hockey.....

Many of the best junior hockey players in Canada play ball hockey all summer....including the likes of Taylor Hall.
