Z played great, but as someone said earlier that one shift I was blown away at how long he stayed on the ice. I thought it had to be Roo, until Roo took the puck So I bet he was benched.
I have said for awhile now Carter and Harts are horrible at playing the puck on the boards on the PP. They turn the puck over time after time. They need those 2 in front of the net and in the slot and try Z with them or move Leino with them, as they do not work in that scenario imo.
The Flyers played like a team that knows they can score at will, but they need to tighten the **** up on D !!
I wouldn't go 'score at will.' They had 7 goals halfway through the game and then never scored again.
I agree about Carts and Harts staying in front of the net but I wish players would wear those boot protectors so we don't end up with more broken feet. There must be a reason why they - especially Carter - won't wear them, maybe they don't allow much flexibility.

All you really need is the plastic toe cap from a roller hockey type skate, the new goalie skates have crazy light cowlings now, can't be too hard to make some sore of carbon fibre toe cap.

Nothing was discussed in the media (at least from what I read) but likely it was coach's decision. Possibly the style of the game affected Laviolette's decision.
So I bet he was benched.
