Just curious to see what you guys think.

To Nashville:

Mike Fisher, Michalek, Lee, 2nd

To Ottawa:

Legwand, Erat, 4th

Interesting. Carrie would like it (or would she????). Sens probably wouldn't do it.

I don't care about what the Sens think, I'm playing GM.

Would you do it?

My first response would be: yes.

The only one I could see stand losing is Legwand, because he plays a good defensive forward.

Erat is always hit or miss, if he's on, he's awesome, if not... Well...

Lee still hasn't reached his potential, and it's not looking like he ever will. Maybe he needs a change of scenery. He could potentially help out being a QB.

Michalek is hit or miss, like Erat.

Fisher is a better Legwand, IMO.

I probably wouldn't. Legwand, for his offensive short comings is too valuable for our system of play to lose defensively up front. Our record over the years has always been better with Legwand in the lineup than without.

I'd say no too, I think Legwand is more valuable to the franchise then most people think.

No way Ottawa does this. Erat and Michalek are similar, except Michalek is 3 years younger.

Fisher had 25goals last year, and plays the sandpaper game that teams covet. I know we like to dream up every intangible Legwand brings to the team, but he had 11g last year and a 40 goal scoring drought. He's scored over 20g once in his career. Why would Ottawa do this?

With Goc and a healthy Lombardi, and that covers everything Legwand does. Sure, it'd do it [surprise]. I'm pretty sure Ottawa doesn't; and also Legwand has a NTC.

Preds dont really care about Mike Fisher anyways. Just because he is married to a country singer, who cares!
Fisher is not even that great of a player, he is good, but nothing to elite.

I would rather keep Legwand over Fisher. Erat and Michalek is a toss-up, but I still think Erat could be a 60 point a season guy if he woudl ever just get consistant enough.

You can have Dumont for Fisher!! I will pack his bags! Heck, we will even throw in Smithson! lol

I'd give up a draft pick just to be rid of Erat right now. Not really a fan of his at the moment.

What do you have against Dumont? I mean for the last 3 years he led the team in points or last year he was in the top five being moved around like he was this year. I that's pretty amazing unless you like players who don't score.

Are you sniffin glue? Smithers is another that brings alot of intangibles- big kid with a physical presence. Valuable - IMHO.

What intangibles? He wins faceoffs, that's all he does anymore. He doesn't bring any sort of physical presence. I can't remember the last time he finished a check with any bit of authority. He is our weakest offensive player by far other than Belak. He is a decent penalty killer but not elite. He will be gone after this year and replaced by Spaling who is a better all around player and for a team that lacks scoring, every little bit helps.

No, I meant that it seems like every time somebody is complaining about somebody they score. I think the last time sombody mentioned that Franson needed to step his game up he scored that night. Same thing happened with Joel Ward.

He plays good defense, plays on the PK, talks to people at practice a lot, and has never complained to the media about anything.

Would we take any of the contracts that the Bruins need to clear to get Savard back on their roster ?
