OK OK OK ! I hereby with draw my"firing on all cylinders " post from last week. We are now taking way too many penalties to be firing on all cylinders. Too many 5 on 3s and 5 on 4s which just kills the fast hi energy type game the Flyers play under Lavy.Having to use Girouix and Ritchie on so many kills [ when they are not in the box too ] just really screws up the lines etc after the penalty is over.
The Lightening game was CRAZY ! For giving up so many goals, its hard to actually blame BOB or Boosh for that disaster after seeing all of the point blank in the slot shots Tampa had etc. The Stamkos goals were just flat out highly accurate lasers.Price shut us out with incredible goal tending stopping 40 + shots, then he gives up a couple softies in Montreals next game where they lost, go figure !
Remedy...... Stop taking all the penalties [ some were terrible calls], and get back to playing 5 on 5 hockey where our style matches up well against most teams on any given night for the most part. Also we must score when we get a 5 on 3, which we have failed to do the last 2 or 3 times we had such.
In closing, i ask forgiveness for my " firing on all cylinders " jinx that i alone am responsible for, and i shall refrain from such in the future.Sincerely Sgt Joseph
Chill out guys, this thread isnt serious at all. People were ragging on him for starting a thread talking about how the Flyers look unstoppable and then they lose 2 games in a row so people said he jinxed the team.
Don't worry about that, i have been a big fan since 1967, been through a few very lean years throughout the decades as a fan and i have never not supported the team.

Glad somebody gets it ! Thank you. Personally i have never been the superstitious type about most things, except when it comes to lightning, i saw a friend of mine hit by lightning as a kid, it was nasty !

That is pretty much how i look at the last 2 games as well, those things happen throughout a long season.We just need to cut back on being short handed as much, it really screws up the flow of the game both offensively and defensively.

Yes it is, especially when you carry the Broad Street Bullies reputation from 35+ year ago. That reputation causes more penalties than actual real penalties it seems.Both of Powes penalties against the Habs were a perfect example of reputation penalties.
