I'm opposite. I'd rather pay a team coming off a win. The law if averages will help, and the leagues parity would probably show with a back to back loss. I'm always weary of playing a team that got embarrassed their last game.

The vocal majority of your fan base has 0 respect for Luongo and thinks he's awful. If you go to any thread about Luongo, regardless of what it's asking, there will be a plethora of Hawks, Oilers and Flames fans posting nothing more than "LOL 7UONGO CHOKER!!!! LOLLOLOL".

It's not just 1 poster.

After Kane/Toews and now the Cup it's exploded, a bunch of college football fan conversions that know everything about the NHL, since it was created in 2006.

I want to see the Canucks play like they can and thump these punks, they deserve it.
Great post! I'm pumped! No mercy! This is a rivalry!

Where's the confidence on these boards? We're at home! THIS IS OUT HOUSE!

By some sheer miracle I snagged tickets to this game. It will be me starting the TUR-CO chants if he is starting.

Looks like Rypien scratched for tonight's game! Schaefer back in.

reidder Kristin Reid
Expected Van lines vs Chi: Sedins-Samuelsson/ Raymond-Kesler-Burr/ Torres-Malhotra-Hansen/ Glass-Perrault-Schaefer. Luongo starts.

I wonder if Turn-on-the-red-light-Co. will be in net after last nights dismal performance?

Hawks will be pissed but the Canucks are great on home ice.

Should be a close one... here's hoping Lou pulls it out and we get some scoring help from players that aren't related.

GO NUCKS!

If you look over the game by game stats of Luongo vs Chicago, he's usually very good against them in the last couple seasons. He's just had some very memorable poor games but most of the time, he plays them well just like he did earlier this season.

Hawks were credited with three hits last night in Calgary, all by forwards.

Time for Dan & Henrik to have a big multi-point game to try and keep pace with Crosby & Stamkos after these past few games.

And time for Hamhuis and Ballard to smoke the Hawks forwards.

Wonder if we'll see Crawford tonight; either way Luongo better be getting the best of the goaltending match-up.

I'd likie to see Turco. He is fun to watch.

New fourth line sounds good on paper.

I haven't heard which Dman is sitting.

I think Luongo should be motivated. I expect his best effort.

Hawks didn't team skate, but back-up goalie Corey Crawford is out with John Scott and Jordan Hendry. Means Marty Turco most likely starter.

No Rypien means the 4th line can't help but be better, although Schaeffer really didn't wow me when he was in the lineup either. Canucks better be ready to earn some redemption after that suckfest against the Pens.

Andrew Ladd gets Kesler off his game and if there is another fight down goes Kesler due to that coward

Chris Versteeg has been a Canucks killer with timely goals and as tough to play against for the Sedins.

Ben Eager drove the Canucks crazy and delivered some big hits while being hard on the forecheck.

John Madden anchored a penalty kill that pretty much shutdown the Canucks PP.

Brent Sopel is a shot blocking machine and has been a solid defensive Dman.

Even Colin Fraser and Adam Burish gave the Canucks fits.

Oh wait...
Don't worry.

Kyle Beach will replace Byfuglien. Turco is an upgrade on Niemi and cheaper. Versteeg was complimentary and will be replaced by Stahlberg. Ladd is a 3rd liner with limited offensive upside, easily replaced by Bryan Bickell. Madden? Fernando Pisani is younger and faster. Sopel? Useless, just blocked shots, John Scott should be able to handle that. Between Jack Skille and Ryan Klinkenhammer the Hawks have the depth to continue without skipping a beat...

Oh wait...

Was that a Freudian slip? Because, c'mon, we're really good at home...

Have a good time at the game tonight. I hope it's a full-tilt battle.

By the way, despite the Hawk's dismal showing last night, I was pretty impressed with their 4th line. Big, tough, able to hang on to the puck, make plays, get pucks to the net and create a consistent forecheck. Basically everything I wish our 4th line was. On the other hand, their third line is questionable. Brouwer, Pisani and Kopecky were making a ton of mistakes and bad decisions.

Chicago's powerplay is their big threat. Limit their pp and the canucks should win. Patrick Sharp is a minus 11 Kane a minus 7. Their 5 on 5 play has been bad. I expect Crawford in the net Turco was terrible last night, just looks so small in net. Duncan Keith is not on the first pp unit now it is Sharp and Seabrooke and the points. Chicago has been better on the road then home, but we all know the canucks are way better at home. Vancouver should win. Hopefully the third line gets back to banging, which they should bring everynight even if they are not scoring.

They always get up to play the Canucks so you can throw out their recent performances, IMO. Its not like they expended any energy last night either.

Can't believe we had to listen to that for the entire ****ing offseason.

Absolutely delusional. It would be like saying we could replace 6 players on our roster with Hodgson, Schroeder, Shriokov, Sweatt, Sweatt, Lack, and Connauton and be just fine. No problems adjusting at all. Young prospects are intrinsically full of potential and are awesome Lol! No need for steady NHL experienced players.
