Flyers re-acquire Syvret + prospect for Maroon & Laliberte

Quote:
The Syracuse Crunch, overloaded with defensemen, have lost one of them.

Anaheim has sent veteran Danny Syvret back to the Philadelphia organization. I don't yet know who is coming back here.

Syvret had four assists in eight games here. He signed with the Ducks organization last summer, after looking like he was making progress sticking with the Flyers in 2009-10 before a bad shoulder injury derailed him.

Good lead for the Phantoms, and decent call up for us.

Hopefully we didnt lose any good Phantoms D men though.

Syvret, Gustaffson, Lehtivuori, Marshall and Bourdon is a good core.

Might be on loan. He was a healthy scratch the other night.

Isn't Anaheim is probably a better organization for Syvret than we are, don't they have a kind of bad defense?

With all the moves the phantoms have made over the last 2 weeks really makes me wonder what the hell Paddock and Shooter have been doing, in regards to the phantoms. Seems to me they have really neglected what has been going on in terms of talent and everything as they have been clearly not paying as much attention as they should have. Did the grossly overate the players they have playing? If so why did it take this long to address the situation? Why all off a sudden the turning around of the roster with an influx of several new players?

Danny Syvret confirms he's traded to Philly organization. Don't know what Ducks get back yet.
My guess is Maroon

As it stands the Phantoms now have 8 or 9 defenseman.

Lehtivuori
Gustafsson
Marshall
Bourdon
Jancevski
J.P. Testwuide
L. Stephenson
Syvret

Edit: I'm not sure if Cullen Eddy has been sent back to the ECHL or not?

At least Maroon cant come back and haunt the flyers. Rather have had a 7th rd draft pick. oh well what can you do.

Laliberte I think is 25 now. His time as a prospect is pretty much expired. The fact that he got time with the Flyers last year was a matter of being in the right organization at the right time.

I thought I saw Shane Harper was in the ECHL (at least to start the year) has he been called up to Adirondak?

Can Syvret go up and down without passing through waivers?

Who's spot does he take?

Didn't the team consider Syrvet to be a cheaper Coburn-type?

I think he had to clear going down to the AHL. If it came to that I don't think they'd recall him anyways.

I'm just curious if he can reliably be viewed as a guy we could call up in the event of a rash of injuries.

Bordson's kind of an interesting name. I think Maroon could be a good fit in Anaheim.
