Welcome aboard the football train! I don't go to the Big-Owe anymore, because I was a huge Expo's fan. I do go to see the AL's at Molson Stadium though regularly. Glad you had a great time!

Thanks guys. It was my first time at the big O since 2002 when I saw the expos home opener that year. We beat Florida 7-6. I missed that dump.

I didn't know that this game meant all that much to the people of Montreal. In Toronto no one really cares.

I wouldn't care much either if my team stank for so long. Montreal is the beast in the East, 58 000 at the Big O. What's that now 8 Grey Cup appearances in the last 10 Years? 67 is still pissed at the Leafs last night. ..

I think it's because the team is so good. I'm not a huge football fan but I've been following this team closely for the last 3-4 years. Mainly because of guys like Calvillo and Cahoon. And there is something very unique about Mark Trestman. He's one of those born leader types and his attitude and the way he presents himself are contagious, in a good way.

We also don't have the Spos anymore and I think that people in Montreal are a little sports-starved. But mainly the team being a dynasty in the 2000-2010 decade is the main reason why this is garnering such a positive response on the Island I'd say.

It's a shame too. You'd think people would be more excited about a playoff team, it's pretty bad for the league. Oh well, they don't call it Leafs nation for nothing.

True, Montreal does like it's sports stars/hero's. The likes of Calvillo & Cahoon have Carte Blance in Montreal ala Habs.

Seemed like Boyd landed on the football much the same way Calvillo did earlier in the season, felt for the guy. Could see it was killing him physically and emotionally having to leave the game like that.
Got a good laugh out of Copeland's desperation for a challenge, the two point conversion and on side kick with a minute left. Yes, drag out the inevitable some more.
And lastly on the Argos, SUCK IT, BARKER. Can't stand that sanctimonious *****, the sour puss look on his face only warmed my heart even more after the spanking the Als dished out.

Good ol' Trestman keeping things at an even keel.

Only thing that bothers me is 58 thousand showed up for this game, and we dont have a baseball team anymore..

If only more people cared about baseball.. at least we know we can pack that joke of a stadium for a dynasty CFL team

its just a shame we couldnt pack it HALf as much for our baseball team

The city deserves a baseball team, but the fans dont :/

BS, if the Expos got their downtown stadium they'd be fine. A combo of bad economic times, cheapass locals & MLB sharks shafted them.

The Als almost failed also playing at the big O, the only thing that saved them was Molson stadium.

The big O is a piece of crap and no one wants to watch sports there.

Totally! One game year though. The AL's have a beautiful downtown Stadium that is the envy of the CFL. Should a had that grass field ballparc on Peel Street/Montagne block. Another decade may get us back in the MLB, you never know. Time's always change..... Keep eyeballs on Tampa
