I do not know why you would put your leading goal scorer on the 3rd line. Avery is not a first line player either. Honestly if I was the coach I would still have...

frolov EC gabby
dubi anisimov cally
avery stepan feds
prust boyle white
boogard

Christensen has done nothing to warrant any time other than in the press box or on the fourth line.

Avery has done nothing to warrant < 10 minutes of ice per game.

As for the game itself, hopefully it's not a let down game at home after a solid road win like we're all so used to. Get a win at home before going back on the road.

LETS GO RANGERS

IF the pack line must be broken up, i think Dubinsky being put on top line LW is a lot more warranted than AA being put on the 4th.

We'll know more about the lines early on Monday: http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/r...nts/ice_storm/

agreed in full..

If anything i would like to give AA a shot with Gabby and Frolov

then put stepan with dubi and cally

my lines would be

Frolov - AA - Gabby
Dubi - Stepan - Cally
Prust - Boyle - Feds
Avery - EC - Boogard

We have to win this game. Calgary is 2-7-1 in their last 10 games, and we're on home ice. Hopefully we can do to them what we did to Edmonton.

EDIT: Arty on the 4th is uncalled for. If he wanted to change the lineup, he shoulda done this:

Dubinsky-Stepan-Gaborik
Frolov-Anisimov-Callahan
Avery-Boyle-Fedotenko
Boogaard-White-Prust

Since we're all playing split up the pack line

Dubinsky - Stepan - Gaborik
Boyle - Anisimov - Frolov
Fedotenko - Christensen - Callahan
Avery - White- Prust

IMO even if the pack line is split up, Cally and Dubi NEED to stay together.

Why's that? So you're saying Anisimov is the weak link on that line? I beg to differ. Artie needs top 6 minutes.

So who goes after Glencross for his KO on Drury last season?

Yeah, that's the kind of fan I am!

Absolutely. These are the exact lines that I think, at this point in time, provide the best balance and chemistry with our available players.

Dubinsky's and Stepan's games play very well to Gaborik's. They can create space for themselves, which ultimately takes pressure off of Gaborik which leaves him with mobility to get open for scoring chances. If space is not created for him, Dubinsky especially is capable of utilizing the space that is provided by teams closely monitoring Gaborik.

I like the idea of Frolov and Anisimov together. Callahan is the grinding forechecker on this line, forcing defenseman up the boards and creating turnovers, giving Frolov and Anisimov, both skilled players, time to work some magic.

Avery belongs on the third line. He is an extremely capable puck-protector and moves well with the puck along the boards. Boyle and Fedotenko have clicked and I want to see that develop further.

Finally, **** Christensen on the 4th line. He is gone and I don't want to see him back. Prust can get plenty of PK time, but he doesn't belong out there on scoring lines.

So a line goes (slightly) quiet for a game or two and Torts breaks it up. Sense, he makes none.

They haven't really done anything for a few weeks, actually. Last time I remember them playing their game successfully was against Chicago.

Could care less if Anisimov plays D and Eminger is the 1st line center. Torts plays in net and Biron is the assistant coach.

As long as they get two points tonight thats all i care about.

Per Gross;
Tortorella says there's no doubt Henrik Lundqvist is the No. 1 goalie and will start Wednesday at Tampa Bay. Working on technique.

I always thought the more he played the better he was.

Oh well, as long as Biron keeps giving the Rangers opportunities to win I'm not gonna complain.
