Since we have not had many home games recently I can see why but that's a LONG bus ride.

I think they left at 4 am this morning, at least that's what they said on the radio.

Erat should consider using that slick stickhandling and shot during regulation of a game.

Worst game all season for Erat, O'Reilly not too far off but they both score in the shoot out. Erat got out muscled every single shift. Tons of giveways! Got no love for Erat tonight, but he ends up scoring for the win....Go figure

That's what I saw. He has to stop that shot.

Smithson's goal was a prime example of capitalizing on defensive breakdowns. It's just a shame that our more heavily compensated players can't do stuff like that more often.

Nothing to figure. He sucks bad. You just said it...
You could've win it in shoot out too.
I don't see him earning his pay at all. Why was he ever given that money in first place?
First to trade on my list.

He has a NTC and he got the money based on his average numbers at the time he signed the deal. Contracts are awarded on potential based on career numbers to date. Erat still has the best career points per game of any Preds drafted forward not named Radulov (.634 vs .655).

Plus you have to consider the timing of the signing. Erat had leverage because our team just got dismantled due to the Leipold fiasco. We needed to lock up a core and bring stability since we probably would have had a very hard time attracting free agents. Although, Poile went overboard with the full NMC. I wish it was limited or only for the first few years.

So I was at this game, and as I was leaving, the PA announcer in the arena was apologizing to the "Caniacs" for Nashville playing a boring game. They also announced attendance at 15,000+, and I can tell you without a shred of doubt, the actual attendance was probably half of that. I've NEVER seen so many empty seats in a stadium, especially in the upper-decks where tickets cost $20, on a Saturday night. I was given the excuse that it's because Nashville "plays a boring game," and that UNC-NC State had a football game. But that, in my mind, is absolutely inexcusable in terms of attendance for a former Stanley Cup Champion team. Why do so many people talk about Nashville moving and all, yet teams like Atlanta and Carolina never get brought up?

I'm not gonna judge their attendance because I frankly don't know their situation but for sure "Nashville is boring" excuse is a cop out. Likely half the people at the game have no idea what kind of team Nashville is like. This isn't a Carolina specific thing either. You would likely seem the same thing here and in most venues across the league.

You don't ask for much do you

OT: Tom Brady won the duel again. I couldn't be happier.

Back on topic, any news on the Suter clan? Is there a new Suter?

Hey, the Nashville Predators fan base has high standards unlike the Titans who admire such honorable qualities as throwing uniforms in the stands, liberal use of the 3rd finger, and not listening to the most qualified person in your organization in deference to a guy 20 years younger and 50 IQ points lower.
