Ha ha ha at Patrick "I don't think I'm a fourth line player" O'Sullivan. You aren't even an NHL'er anymore.

Man a bunch of sports analysts talked about how O'Sullivan was going to bounce back and have a good season offensively... poor guy.

Phew... there's one bullet dodged by Edmonton. Good thing we didn't hang onto him.

Michael Ryan is on waivers so he can be sent to the Phantoms after his signing.

I wouldn't mind seeing the Blues try O'Sullivan. Maybe just hang on to him till we get Oshie back, and then if he plays well then great if not just waive him again..

I wonder if POS has contacted the SEL yet. I'm sure he would be a great fit on a first/second line there.

Sharks should pick up O'Sullivan if they're planning on trading Seto for a defenseman. They're probably as high on the waiver wire right now as they'll ever be.

How many times has Carter been waived by Anaheim now? Twice? For some reason, it feels like he's always on waivers.

Anyways, all three will clear.

Patrick O'Sullivan must be a huge jerk. He has averaged 8:51 a game with Carolina this season, have to wonder why they even signed him if they weren't going to play him.

I remember a O'Sullivan vs A.Kostitsyn thread back in the day where people was saying that Kostitsyn would never has a good as a career as O'Sullivan.

I would not be shocked to see POS claimed at his current price. I also don't really care either way at this point.

From rumors that circulated last year, he is a problem in the locker room. At least he was in Edmonton, always pouting because he wasn't getting the ice time he wanted. Maybe the same thing in Carolina? The kid needs to suck it up and realize that if he doesn't play the role he is asked, he will not stick in the NHL. Its quite sad actually, he has the skill to be a 30-40 goal scorer, if he would just get in the scoring lanes instead of taking wrist shots from the perimeter. He has an outstanding wrister, but won't get in close enough to use it effectively.

On a side note, and a question to Cane's fans, did he at least look like he was getting chances? I don't recall any Oiler in history hitting as many posts and crossbards as POS did. It was almost baffling how that many shots can ring off of the iron without going in the net.

He didn't even get a chance to get chances. He was completely misused here. Maurice benched him from the get-go without a real reason. He looked great in the preseason. He never got a shot in a scoring role. From what little he did get to play, he looked fine. Most of the time, he was buried on the fourth line and lambasted for not performing well. No ****. If you get 8 minutes or less a night playing with Tom Kostopoulos and Jon Matsumoto, you/re not going to perform too well. He played find in all three zones when he actually got to play. Completely baffles me how we can sign someone with offensive skill, something our lineup desperately needs, and waste it. Such a frustrating situation.

That's something we all wish we knew. He earned a chance to play in a scoring role in the preseason, in my opinion. We never gave him a fair shot.

Glad we have Larose on the first line, though.

O'Sullivan's NHL career is over IMO, he should go over to Europe and continue his career.

Poor Carter haha. First he was waived, then waived again, now waived once more. He's been actually playing decently as of late..
