You people like to jump to conclusions. Jessiman is projected to be that. Dawes could be that as well. Nobody ever says much about Dawes because of his size. He's the same size as Parise. Who says he can't make it?

Right now, he's a safer bet than Jess due to Jess' injury and regression. Dawes is probably closer to being NHL ready because of that. He'll be in Hartford in the fall while Jess finishes school.

Parise is as 5-11 as I am 6-2. He's a small center. But he can make plays. His size doesn't define who he is.

So what if Dawes is small. It doesn't automatically determine anything. He's produced everywhere. I am not going to write him off because he's the same size as Theo Fleury or Martin St. Louis or Brian Gionta.

Small guys can make it if teams give them a chance.
