Kopitar and Brown have learned to play with just 2 players anyways.
So it doesn't matter who you put on thier line. If he chips in some goals
it is a huge upgrade until Parse is healthy again

I agree.

It's a shame what O'Sullivan's career has come down to. He's a scorer. Any success he has will come in a top 6 role, not a 4th line role. He needs that opportunity, but frankly, who knows if he'll ever get that chance in the NHL again.

All three should clear. O'Sullivan, you never know; if a team's desperate enough, why not take a chance considering his cap hit? Carter it seems has been in Carlyle's doghouse for quite some time. Murray could be just trying to give him a chance to play elsewhere by waiving him again, as he wasn't assigned to Syracuse the last time he cleared. Ryan, ex-Sabre and ex-Hurricane, is nothing more than an AHL body. He'll clear for sure and will be sent to the Phantoms, exactly where the Flyers want him.

With Oshie and Perron out, I wouldn't argue at picking up O'Sullivan. It seriously can't hurt playing him over Chris Porter. It'll give Winchester a chance to go back down, even though he has played quite well, and give O'Sullivan a chance to play a potential top six role. If he does well, he earns a NHL spot, if not, the worst that we can do is waive him again.

Jack Johnson and Williams 4 Gleason & a side of Staal... if we are going to do trade backs, let's go for it!

I just dont get why Porter hasnt stuck with the big club there. He was a great scoring physical forward at UND, a Captain there, and looked to have great potential. Just hasnt been able to bring it to the NHL level or what? I figured he would be one that could actually translate his game, even if only the physical aspect, to the NHL and be a 3rd/4th line player full time.

lol you can keep Johnson. As much as we want to keep all 3 of Gleason, Pitkanen, and White, we may end up having to let one go. But personally, I dont see Willy having another year like this year. That change of scenery did him well. He was really settling down his last few years here and was having too many injuries. I think you guys should keep him, as much as I would actually like him back. He doesnt really help the youth movement either. Heck, he really isnt THAT old, but he would be a VET on our team. So yeah, prob wont work. But i know you werent being serious lol

At this point any team that picks him up is just wasting their time. The guy clearly can't cut it anymore. There's plenty of players like him, talented but just waste it away.

It is really unfortunate for POS. He was good for a season with Brown and Kopitar, but just never really got it going. After the Kings, boy has he been terrible. Was on of my favorite players to watch on the Kings Maybe he is that top-line left wing the Kings need? Reunite him with Kopitar?

PoS has mental issues he thinks he should be onthe 1st or 2nd line scoring and doesn't give any effort when he is on the 3rd and 4th line. Sad some players aren't happy to play hockey an play in the NHL.

He would likely be a good 4th line grinder, if we weren't already overstocked with them. Crombeen, McClement, Sobotka, Winchester, etc. He's just the odd one out. If he gets a new contract with the Blues, I see him jumping to take Winchester's spot on the fourth line next season. But he better work REALLY hard because we a that over abundance of youth looking to steal a spot and it's not his to just have.

- He's an offensive player by nature, and possesses a ton of skill. No doubt about what he's capable of doing, it's the fact that he doesn't show it enough.

- The Leafs need offence. Period.

- We have a guy like Luca Caputi sitting in the press box, when he could go down to the Marlies and get some playing time in. Even if POS doesn't play well, I'd rather have him sitting in a suit and playing on his iPhone in the rafters than Caputi.

- His cap hit would be negligible in terms of impact to the cap space we have free.

Worst case scenario, we put him on waivers ourselves. No big deal.
Best quote in the thread. Very Nice.

I can see him working very well with the Penguins. Heck maybe even his old team the Kings.

I wouldn't mind Ryan Carter for the Flyers, but we have a ton of bodies as it is. He might be useful while Carcillo is out.

The twitter should have just read "Anaheim and Philadelphia place Carter and Ryan to waivers", just to see the outrage.
