Can everybody please vote Gomez for the star selections in the next game (if he keep playing like this), I hope he would get the irony. You know something is seriously wrong when you say to yourself "why do we play our $7.357M centre in the last minutes...?"

The only positive thing is that he is so bad that it's impossible to not send him to Hamilton next year, this year we won't have any benefit of more cap space.

People on here will tell you that the team isn't soft.

Also Eller looked good on the PP. Big body that can control the puck. You can see he is progressing nicely.

Agree. It's okay to vent after a loss, and the Habs' history make a beatdown like this worrisome, but some of the stuff in this thread is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm hoping this isn't our play against LA. Cause that's gonna be horrible.

I can't disagree with that assessment.

My first attempt at a PGT and I failed , but don't tell nobody.

Look on the bright side fellow Habs fans, Price is still playing phenomenal, Eller is looking to be a good addition, PK is still the man and don't forget we are sans Markov so we have at least one addition to look forward to.

Now we just sit back and wait until Bieksa gets here.......

god hes so soft
Agreed. He looks like he's either completely out of shape or just completely lazy. Dagenais skates faster than the guy.

That is why i hate our stupid moronic coach. Game was in the bag and he told his team to sit back and let the Flyers beat the living crap on us in our zone.

Praying the goalie stops every puck and sitting back has been the MO of the Habs the last ten years. No wonder they havent won anything.

My suggestion:

Cammy - Plek - Kost
Pouliot - Eller - Gionta
Moen - Halpern - Lapierre
Pyatt - Gomez - Darche

Hamrlik - Subban
Gill - Gorges
Spacek - Weber

Picard has been OK, but he isn't changing anything out there. I honestly don't see why people see him as untouchable. I'd play that third pair 10 minutes max a night, by the way, other than PP.

Gomez should stay in the line-up solely so he can have a good view of the ice. I'd play that line 5 minutes and PK only.

Let's blame the drafting (which got us the guy who kept us in the game tonight and has been our MVP) instead of the veterans who are getting paid $7 million and $6 million and doing **** all.

Odds are with Martin he'll probably be a healthy scratch next game and we'll play with 3 centers to get Gomez more ice time.

on a side note, habs have given up only one pp goal on road ALL year. working at something like a 98% kill rate. that's insane

What I found encouraging is that the TSN guys said they saw Markov today with the team and he didn't look to be limping very much at all.. Could that be an encouraging sign or just wishful thinking?

You know other teams based on Giroux too.

Oh wait, Montréal should go get Alexandre Giroux. He's 6'3 and put up 50 goals in the AHL. He's ****in' amazing. Though, through your thought process he's amazing.

Thoms Beauregard once scored 71 goals in the Q, good thing we got him and he's now an NHL star. Am I right ?

You should go to sleep. You've just been owned.

It will be our secret WordUp.

Agreed, I did see a few positives tonight. Eller showed me a feisty side that I didn't think he had, and Price was amazing. It hurts losing a game like this, but in all honesty the Flyers are a well balanced team.

Why the hell would you blame ONE player for a TEAM loss??..

The guy has played poorly, great! Happy?...Woohooo..such relief.

Now where were the other players as well???...Oh right, let's not talk about them because it's cool to vamp everything on Gomez.

Dude, grow up.

Pretty much.

I'd say it after a loss or a 6-0 win. Don't even think about beating a team like the Flyers in the playoffs unless we get Markov back OR a competent top-6 D man AND a legit 2nd or 1st line winger with size. None of this Dom Moore or Jim Dowd type pick-ups, a LEGIT winger. Otherwise in the playoffs we're just going to see a whole lot more of what we just watched.
