O'Donnell had probably his worst game of the year though

I'm not saying the likelihood of NJ making the playoffs is the same as being hit by lightning, but the point is that it's not something you should expect at this point.

Besides, this is one win over another slumping team. Nothing to get excited over.
Hey, it could happen.

It's hockey it was a clean check, and if it was the other way around (Flyer-on-Hab) would you really have had a problem with it?

What's funny is that his stick work is fantastic, but he's also one of the (if not THE) league leaders in stick infractions. I think O'Donnell is up there too.

This was a good statement game.

Yeah it was clean, hopefully someone will get him back next game.

It was hilarious when Nodl fell on him.

I love how much respect Pronger gets from the refs. He mostly knows exactly what he can get away with. He is only averaging a penalty every 2nd game right now, and for the minutes he plays thats great

Game reminded me of the Caps game the other day. Not a great first period, but once we got our feet going, we took it over.

Again, there are not going to be a lot of games where teams beat us 5-on-5.

Leaving some neanderthal brainfarts in the locker room was the game winner... you guys have a good team... and you are way better while being focused than emotional.

as for the hit on giroux ... the game wasn't over... and I think you're right ; very few hits are intended to demonstrate the love you have for the opposing team. Of course he wanted to shake him up... great hit.... like powe's on gorges last game... hard but fair.
Thanks for your posts and your good sportsmanship.

Took some heart to come back after allowing 2 extremly weak goals, because thats a huge morale killer. At least it happened in the first period though.

Big props to boosh for recovering from a horrid start (though the 2nd goal wasn't really his fault)

Thank god Laperierre didn't get that hat trick (This must be what it feels like when Carcillo scores against your team )

And if you are whining about the PK hit on Giroux, just stop.
Clean hockey check.
If a flyer let up on a check like that at the end of an out of reach game, i'd be pissed.

Agreed. Lapierre is a dirty rat. I wish somebody would give him a shot in the mug when he gets that stupid grin on his face.

Happy with the win last night tho!

Thanks Jules, coming from you, that is quite a compliment.

Credit goes to Watsatheo and Ice Poutine (two Habs posters) for creating this for me.

Haha, I will.
I'm familiar with them. They do great stuff... I was pretty jealous of your WinCity avys.

As we were walking out of the Bell Centre after the Canadiens' 3-0 win, my friend (a Canadiens fan) said to me, "Look at it this way, your second favourite team won."

Last night, after the game was over, I e-mailed him: "Look at it this way, your 28th favourite team won."
