phillyflu, that sentence alone is so perfect that it would be a crime to repeat it. Yes, he does celebrate like that.

I just picked up Leino in my hockey pool last week and have loved him so far. I want to molest him in a non-sexual way somehow.

He is what he is, Ville Mays.

The Guy just has amazing vision, and Puck skills that are among the best in the league. The man is a pleasure to watch.

Leino is picking it up from the playoffs. His play with Briere has made that line very productive. He's making Hartnell productive again.

Anyone have any info on possible talks between Leino and the Flyers? Thought maybe once they had Carter locked down they'd move on to Ville and try to get him quickly locked up for a few years as well.

Shero, I have never prayed to you before; I have no tongue for it. No one, not even you, will remember if we were good players or bad. Why we fought, or why we died. All that matters is that the Flyers stood against many. That's what's important! Valor pleases you, Shero ... so grant me one request. Grant me revenge! And if you do not listen, then to HELL with you!

Pretty ****ing sweet. Ville's the man, really brings a different element when his coach just allows him to play his game. He can completely take over an entire shift, and you almost always think he's going to create a great scoring chance when he has the puck.

It's funny you say that because whenever he has the puck, the eternal pessimist in me thinks he's going to bobble the puck/duff the pass/etc etc. but it hardly ever happens. Dude is the man, and the LBH line is just fantastically entertaining to watch.

Oh, and that photo ****ing RULES!!!

I was reading some of euroflyers tweets and I'm a bit alarmed at one quote.

"I'd like to stay on a good team. But everything effects everything. There's a lot of things involved." - Leino

"Stay on a good team" doesn't sound like "I love it here." Maybe posturing, maybe not.

Well, from some of the other stuff posted at the time of the Carter signing, we can't really pay Leino what he might be worth in the open market now, without exceeding the cap for next year - based on current levels.

If his agent is smart, they will wait until the season is over. Right now it's hard to say what he's worth. $1.5M? $2.5M? $3.5M? more?

He's on pace with Carter and Briere right now and they make $5M and $6.5M respectively.

If he proves he's not a flash in the pan by maintaining his scoring pace, and has another great playoff, he's probably worth at least $3-4M to almost every other team in the league, and we probably can't afford to keep him without losing a high salary player.

After the new cap limits are established, and Homer decides who is coming back, he'll figure out what to do with Ville.

I wouldn't rule out him being re-signed early, if he really wants to stay (a one-year deal?), but if his price is too costly, Homer might have to cut his losses and and deal his rights before the draft to get something back for him before he goes UFA.

If they lose Leino due to cap eff ups by Holmgren.... Briere and Hartnell will probably choke him and the fans will really hate him. But you know I like the fact we have almost 7M tied up in Walker, Leighton, Zherdev and Shelley this season with Zherdev being the only one that might not be resigned although he's the most palatable of all of them if he gets his game in line with what Lavy wants.....

Leino should also be thinking about getting along with another coach and finding chemistry with a new team
