NoGoal is NoMore!

Really impressed with his coming out party since the playoffs and his goal scoring prowess since his first goal schneid was broken this season...

Seems like that JVR vs Nodl goal scoring poll may come to fruition although JVR seems reborn. Zherdev may be coming around as well.

I'm crazy for susperstition, but this is just getting silly. People popping up threads left right and centre, for only the opposite to happen a couple of days later.

Imagine this team with an offensive Nodl JVR starting to break out and Zherdev becoming the pre Russia Zherdev..........

True but it's Thanksgiving so let's give thanks for a very strong season thus far and players starting to break out a bit but yeah we'll go back to ripping once there is a another lull ...just part of being a fan.

Still early but so far so good....and we're healthy and can roll 4 lines so that is a big deal. Then we have Bob...

Oh wow watching the Nodl interview....somebody start a "who is more homely poll"....JVR or Nodl? Obviously Shelley wins hands down so that poll would be unfair

15-6-2 is a nice looking record... and to think we lost to the ducks in the last minute and **** the bed in columbus... this team has no limits if they play to potential

if JvR Richards Nodl stays together, I wonder what his point totals will look like

There are few players, other then rookies, that I watch hope just hope they gets points every game. One player I always hope for is Claude Giroux. Not being a Nodl fan in the beginning of the season, Nodl has climbed his way to being one of the guys who I hope gets some kind of point every game.

It was just a matter of time before the skill part caught up with everything else in Nodl's game. You just don't lose the kind of skill that Nodl has. If anything, the first couple of seasons taught us how important it is that players be developed properly and you can never underestimate how important it is to have a good coaching staff in place to help a player get to the next level.

The important thing from this point out will be the coaching staff continuing to build Nodl's confidence. And from what I've seen, the more confident Nodl is in his game, the better he looks on the ice. I think the Flyers have FINALLY found a winger for Richards.

It seems that there was a time when people thought of Nodl as a guy with 2nd line potential, but they eventually resigned themselves to the idea that he would be an energy player at best. It's still pretty early in the season, but does anyone see his potential as being a true secondary scoring option again?

Well, if everyone played 82 games based on the pacings they have created in however many games they've played so far this year, our top nine would look like this:

1. Richards - 86 points
2. Giroux - 82 points
3. Briere - 70 points
4. Leino - 68 points
5. Carter - 64 points
6. Nodl - 59 points
7. Hartnell - 57 points
8. vanRiemsdyk - 39 points
9. Zherdev - 31 points

Personally, I see Nodl hitting between 40-50 points. Not to bad though.

Vanek is on pace for 50 points I guess.... he also has scored about 44 points in his first full season for the sabres.

Does that mean Nodl > Vanek?
