Only the Shelley goal was his fault and at that point there's no reason to bring in Theodore until Friday. The team ****ing quit plain and simple and whether that's on the coach or not is up for debate, but I can't blame the third period collapse on Backstrom.

I agree no way its Backstroms fault, but the coach should do something.

i think Kaptain Koivu needs to kick some ass if the coach isn't going to do it. he really doesn't have any room to talk as far as yelling at anyone else for effort or results though. shake that **** up--who cares if we stack it and turn into a one line team--better than a no line team.

Just an ugly stretch of games right now.

No one in particular is playing competent hockey at this point.

I don't care who lays into everyone, but it needs to happen. Yes, Philadelphia is one of the elite teams in the league but Minnesota should not be quitting on themselves under any circumstance.

Positives: We kept Richards, Giroux, and Pronger off the scoresheet.

Negatives: We still lost by 5 goals.

i've been watching quite a few other teams lately...

i know i've quipped about this several times, but can anyone answer the question of why don't the Wild every have ANYONE camped in front of the net in the o-zone?

i mean, i'm watching the chicago at san jose game. there's always someone camped out in front of the net... either end...

seriously simple concept... i don't get it...

Really, really, really, really, really bad 3:30 stretch in the 3rd.

State of Hockey, you win. I'm done with the Barker era. I'm also done with the Zanon era.

Staged fights are stupid, and if that's what Kassian is up here for, he can go the hell back down south.

POS is intriguing; interested to see a few more games from him. It's pretty sad when a guy you claim off waivers becomes your 4th most skilled player at that position, but, oh well.

On to Nashville...

PATHETIC game. Kassian's fight was great, and that's about it. No sustained pressure, no fight, no nothing. Left Backs out high and dry most of the game.

And now I'm drunk on wine from a can, so I'm off to pass out. The Wild better figure some **** out soon, otherwise it looks like another one way ticket to top 10 drafting.

It's sad when the only guy on the team stepping up the rookie just called up, and that was in the first 5 minutes of the game. You got Hartnell, Pronger, and Shelley running everyone and the goalie and only one guy has the balls to stand up. Koivu needs to be a captain. I know fighting isn't in his game and im not asking him to drop the gloves but he needed to do something. Im sick of this team not standing up for eachother. Bruno gets run by Shelley..nothing. What other team would let a veteran or any player get run by a goon with a dangerous hit and not respond? We play like we are scared. Im sick of watching this emotionless team skate around at half effort and get killed every night.

What plus side again?

I don't know what was worse - the Wild getting blown away or the Wolves choking a 20+ point lead and looking like prep players in the last minutes.

Wild getting blown out. If you're going down, it's better to be shot at close range than slowly stabbed in the heart.

My December 17th firing prediction is looking good right now, its close to x-mas but I picked that date so Richards would be able to spend x-mas around the family with no interruptions.

Anyways, Koivu and Brunette have to be broken up, Koivu has been playing bad and slower than he should be IMO and I think its because of Brunette.

Glad I missed this one, watched our flukey goal and that's about it. I don't think this one is worth re-watching. Maybe we'll pull it together against Nashville.

Russo did a blog about the idea of breaking up the Koivu-Bruno combo, maybe it will work for us?
