I just read this on TSN :

Quote:
There have been lots of pro athletes who profess to still harbouring childhood loyalties to a particular team, even cheering for them as long as they're not playing against them.
http://www.tsn.ca/columnists/?id=342852

Isn't the bolded part wrong ? Shouldn't it say : "who profess to still harbour" ?

Funny how Riders fans feel their team is the reincarnation of the 1997 Argonauts or the 2009 Alouettes and how they will win easily. Their team lost 8 games, their QB almost has many INT's than TD's, they almost blew their opening playoff game against an under .500 team and they are something like 3-13 in Grey Cup games.

Sounds ok to me.

If you look at it like the COI in french, they profess to what? "Still harbouring childhood loyalties". The verb harbouring in this case is being used to complement another verb, profess.

I think you could use "harbour" if it were "they profess that they still harbour childhood loyalties".

Thank you for your input, the exit is this way ------>

CFL Football is quality football. The only thing making it less of a football than the NFL or the AFL is merely the budget that allows the best players south of the border.

When it comes to rules, it's pretty on par, just different. Only self-centered americans would think otherwise.

Haha, actually since the Non Habs teams I've been supporting lately have been doing badly. You Al's fans might want to kick me off the bandwagon, so that I don't jinx your chances for victory today.

Not at all. It's just God telling you to change your team preference for good.

Sorry boys but your all dreaming if you think old man Calvillo can win this game, the cold probly makes his arthritis flare up. Riders are taking it this year, a healthy Dressler/Fantuz combo is trouble for any defence. 44 - 34 Riders!!

TSN overhyping the Riders = good for us.

Richardson said that last week all TSN did was hype Boyd and Owens without acknowledging the Als barely at all. They came out with a chip on their shoulder and we all know how that game turned out.

Hype the Riders, give us the crappy hotel, locker room, no installations etc. My feeling is that it'll make the Als just that much more hungry.

Oh and here is Cohons rebuttal to the comments by Als players. Says they gave them the crappy hotel with zero installations because all the good hotels were booked. Way to run your business, Mark.

Beat the riders again please.

The only day I somewhat care about the CFL is if the Als make it to the grey cup...even then Ill probably just watch Colts and Chargers lol.

Well that makes two of us.

I'm cheering for a good game, and nothing else. I hate the Als, and I detest the Riders.

I must say, this locker-room talk is extremely childish.

This is the same locker-room that the Als have gotten at Commonwealth since who knows when, why is unacceptable all of a sudden? So the Riders got the fancier one, BFD!!

That arthritis didn't prevent him from throwing 314 yards and 2 touchdowns with no interceptions in the air last year in the Grey Cup. But hey, Durant did ok I guess with 201 yards, 1 td and 2 interceptions though...
