Jersey size

Alright, so I went out to play open ice hockey for the 2nd time in my life. Bought all the equipment needed and brought along my medium sized Campbell Conference All-Star Jersey.

Im 5'11" 175 pounds and to put it frankly, the jersey just didnt fit over my pants and I had to tuck in my entire jersey all the way around. Also it was difficult to put on with elbow pads.

Im gonna go otu and buy a solid colored jersey so from experience what size should I buy? L or XL is what I am thinking but I am not sure if a L will still be too small or not. I kinda just want the jersey to fall comfortably around my hockey pants and have enough room for my elbow pads.

it also depends on the brand of jersey you buy. i find that rbk edge jerseys fit's tighter than older ccm jerseys. for your size i think L will do, but if you have huge pads, get the XL.

I'm 5'10", 165lbs and Large jerseys by RBK ('tight' fit) and AthleticKnit (regular roomy fit) fit with plenty of room to spare but not incredibly baggy.

At 5'8 175 I'm either a L or XL depending on the jersey. Usually the cheap ones run small and the quality jerseys have more room.

I personally like the larger size, something that isn't going to restrict you at all. Go with the XL.
