Where do you think our prospects will rank?

When 1-15 comes out where do you think the Preds will show up on the list?

I'll guess 5th, but with no writer to go to bat for us, I'd not be shocked to see us in the 10-11 range.

I think 7th, 8th, 9th...I picked the middle one. I like your crop.

I wouldn't be suprised to see Atlanta (thanks to Lehtonen's great season), LA (thanks to Cammy and Co. in Manchester), Minnesota (thanks to Koivu), and Philadelphia (thanks to Carter/Richards/Nitty) all surpassing us. I think we'll end up 8-12. I voted on the low end.

Other than Lehtonen, Atlanta does not have much of a prospect corps smokey...and I would argue that our group is better than Minnesota's and from the previous list Edmonton/maybe even Montreal........I think we will hover around 5. Philly could hop us, but our group of prospects is just darn good.......and maybe Finley actually playing this years will increase our goaltending status from abysmall to moderate...

Oh, I think we are better than all those mentioned. Heck, I think we are clearly ahead of Edmonton, but what I think doesn't matter. I think some of the writers get caught up in the hype too (hey, they are fans too) and that was more of a 'it wouldn't shock me if...' list than anything. ATL has a poor prospect core that won't even be in the top 20 (unless they have a top 2/3 pick for this upcoming draft) after Lehtonen graduates. Despite riding almost solely on the shoulders of Lehtonen, Atlanta was still 8th. An incredible run so far this year in the AHL could easily bump them up, in my mind. Especially with Coburn playing adequately. He's not been great, but when you consider how lackluster his post draft performance has been (especially in comparison to other 2003 Dmen), his AHL stint could be enough to push ATL ahead.

Minnesota, too, has a poor prospect core. But they were still 10th. With the resurgence of Koivu in the AHL, it wouldn't suprise me to see them jump up a few spots.

I think we will be 5th, 6th or 7th.
But of course it depends of the writer's opinion.
