Only positive from this game is that Lapierre didn't let plek fight kane. That would have been UGLY.

That was a good head's up play by Lapierre.

If management is anything like a lot of the fans here...size, physicality is a non-issue.

This is why I liked OByrne. You can bet he would have dropped the gloves last night.

Opted not to watch the game after this little debacle. How was Auld besides the goals? I saw the highlights on TSN and damn, the defense was awful on the first however that second was just ugly.

If we lose tonight, we finish the month of November with a shaky 7-6-0 record. Hardly anything impressive. 8-5-0 certainly looks better.

Auld played well. I think he faced 47 shots. It was a complete obliteration and the score should have probably been 7-0. The 2nd goal was a stinker, but Gorges instead of clearing the puck, made a perfect pass to Enstrom. Worst game I've seen from Gorges in a long time. He's actually human . He'll bounce back.

Not sure why you're referring to me, because I don't think that Auld played a bad game. Sure, he let in one stinker, but outside of that our loss was more reflective of team's overall effort. That game was a waste of beer for me.

When i saw the slashing made by Pleks after he lost the puck when we were on the PP, i knew it would be a tough game for us. Sorry for BB but it was not a good start in the first period for this team. Bad execution all the night, and bad penalties. That's it.

But i give credit to Trashers, really a good team, and man...i was thinking, the first few minutes in the game, how small is our team compared to those guys.

Didn't watch the whole game but did I see Eller-Cammer together in the third?

This could be a good development!

Cammalleri-Eller-Kostitsyn
Pouliot-Plekanec-Gionta
Moen-Gomez-Lapierre
Pyatt-Halpern-Darche

More size in top 6 and Gomez with no choice but to start taking the puck to the net.

I did not see the game, but size on the wings will always be a problem.

I noticed that Bieksa was a healthy scratch in Vancouver yesterday nite.... is he coming our way ?

Washington was shut out a few days ago. The Habs shut out the Flyers. The Bruins have already been shut out several times. So?

09-10 Times Shutout :

22. New Jersey, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Carolina and Montreal 7 times
27. Nashville, Phoenix, Florida 8 times
30. Detroit 9 times

On these 9 teams, only 2 were out of playoffs, so i dont think there is a direct relation between the fact that you are shutout more than usual and your position in standings.

In 08-09, Habs were shutout only twice (2nd in the league), but that season was not as good as expected...

Plekanec/Cammalleri since they've been split up:

Cammalleri: 3 goals in 5 games (decent, even though the team is not scoring a whole lot)
Plekanec: 1 goal, 1 point in 5 games.

And people thought that was a good idea? This is a disaster!

Flyers just lost twice in 2 days to the Devils and Flames.

Just to put things into perspective. Parity: It's a boon and a *****.
