well that's rough..........I think we can take Nashville without Gabby but has to be a team effort. I would be fine with Gilroy on the 4th line , heck why not

I'm pretty sure at 5 million a year you should do something better than just good.
You have no clue how defensemen are valued on the open market. It clearly shows in your posts. Players who can play 20+ minutes and contribute on all ends of the ice will get that money every time they are available.

I am OK with other fans being ignorant of him, but when our own fans are this ignorant? It's pretty sad. Open your eyes and watch him play instead of looking for "numbers to prove it". The numbers are the minutes he plays.

Also, your idiotic digs at Torts like he's some know nothing are hysterical. What have you ever done in hockey? He has a Cup. You do not and never will.
You just lost all credibility when you called Rozsival very good defensively. If you knew anything you would know Rozsy was given his contract because of his offense, not his D....and gues what his offense has slipped to average levels.

Do i think I know more about hockey than Torts, of course not.
Does the guy make asinine comments all the time, and on more than one occasion made the organization look bad with his outburts..yes

Why does it bother you so bad that i think Torts is bad for this team? Does everyone need to climb on board with your sheeple mentality?

Right, because teams were clamoring to sign Rozsival right??? tell me another one, he got that contract for some good offensive numbers playing huge minutes with some great players. a smart GM would have let him hit the road for that money, but we have Glen Sather. Is it any suprise his production has declined every year?

Pretty sure he gets 20+ minutes a night on this team out of necessity, our defense has been poor for years, that doesnt make rosival a really good defenseman. On a team with a good defense he's a 4 if he's lucky.

He's the 19th highest cap hit for a defenseman in the league, thats a joke

Last year was a down year for him, but he's fluctuated between 30-40 points since the lockout. That does not net you 5M a year. He's known to be very solid on both ends of the ice. Servicable everywhere. He's not looked at as some offense only player that you are trying to pass him off as.

His offense has slipped to average levels? Based off of one down year? He was on pace for a 40 point season.

He's never been an offensive powerhouse. That's never been his game. Again, I suggest you watch him play because you are terribly misinformed -- either from ignorance about how effective his game is or ignorance due to reading some morons on the main board who see him play once in a blue moon.

There's a reason he gets so much ice time. It's because he's good at all facets of the game. His defensive game is much less streaky than his offensive game, for sure.

Ignorant statement. Record aside with and without gabs this year. He is a superstar and we need him to play and get going. Then the team needs to play like a team, and not just act like gabby is the only one that can score.

Statements like the bold show that you are very ignorant when it comes to hockey. C'est la vie.

He can have a hat-trick duel with Crosby on Monday then.

too lazy to look back at this thread. What is the reason why Gaborik is out tonight?

Did he loose his purse or something??? Just kidding!!

Gaborik is a superstar and the team will miss him any game he misses. Hopefully it is nothing serious.

It might, but I'm saying this because without him the team consistently worked hard. Gaborik comes back and they slow down. Yeah, I love having Gaborik, don't get me wrong...

like a repeat of last night, nashville works hard but is having trouble scoring. rangers need to put in a good effort despite the team being tired. these are 2 points they need to get.

Yeah our team missed him, especially his ice time. Honestly I do not think we can have sauer, MDZ, and gilroy getting a real lot of minutes just because it is a long season. Eventually gilroy will not be playing, but for sauer, who is injury prone, it is good to have some time relieved.

Hopefully a fresh rozy can provide some offense for us, because the team looks beyond tired.

Try to pull it out LGR.
