How is this even a speculation thread? There's never been any indication that the organization would make this a third jersey.

I just don't want a "logo in a circle with the name of the team around" type of jersey. All these kind of jersey are ****ingly ugly right now. Even the barberpole is better looking than some.

Why? They already have 100 years of 3rd Jerseys they wore off and on for the last 2 seasons and another one for the winter classic this season. It's kinda nice to just wear our regular 2 for a awhile.

**** all of you, i still think the barber pole jersey is awesome -
especially with the brown gloves. The CA jersey with the darker red, and no lines on the navy pants is also awesome

There are no slots for an additional 3rd jersey in NHL 11. It may sound stupid but that's a good indication.
And the white one with the red numbers is perfect for a 3rd one. No need for another.

White numbers (to contrast the blue stripe) with a thick red or blue border (to contrast the white of the jersey). Problem solved. Just like they were originally:
