Quick Byfuglein question

I don't see many Thrashers games, so just looking for a little info. Has he been on D all season, or is he splitting time at forward as well? If so, what would you say the split has been?

Well then I'm very impressed with his offense so far. I can't imagine any of you guys dreamed he would be PPG from the back end either eh?

He isn't even getting in front of the net on the PP, just manning the point. He has a hard accurate shot from the point.

We have all been pleasantly surprised with his play, I don't think any of us expected him to be a Top 2 Dman.

He has absolutely dominated and is getting the same attention from the point that Kovy used to get

I was open to the "experiment" of putting him back at D. But with last year's playoff domination, who would say "yeah, of course, let's change his game completely!" I though he would last maybe 5 or 10 games back there. He's still a little shaky in his own end sometimes, but he is a difference maker.

Hence the strategy to not play back there more than you play in the opposing teams end.

I like it. I also think he'll learn a lot over the course of this season and get, well, seasoned. Little things like clearing the crease instead of reaching for the puck on that goal last week (Detroit game? I forget, but 2 GA in 4 games it's been a while. )

Islanders. He flubbed it by putting his stick on the puck, which only propelled it into the net, rather than putting his stick a half inch behind, which would have kept it out.

Still, Byfuglien has been awesome. And true to his word, he got the goal back for us.

I picked him up in the 11th and final round in my 20 person hockey pool which is based solely on points hoping that the D experiment wouldn't last too long. He has been the star of my team and playing beyond anyones possible expectations. I didn't even think he would score at this pace as a forward As a Leaf fan I am upset that we clearly got the wrong player out of Chicago as Buff is a beast and Ladd is your Captain.
