Don't sweat it, everyone probably felt the same at the time. I know I was contemplating turning the game of or muting it if it kept on going that way for much longer.
I was actually pretty calm most of the time. I was down the shore with some friends who enjoy hockey but don't really know much, that part was a little agitating...but I kept my cool. After Lucic scored the third goal, one of my friends said "They're done, they have to score four." I said "They don't need the next four, they just need the next one." There was a Devils fan in attendance, reveling in that first period. It was awesome having the last laugh.
I remember at one point I went to my own room to watch the postgame stuff. I laid on my bed just smiling. To date, it's the most terrific sports memory I have.
Oh the memories. First thing that comes to mind about that series was that my mom became a Flyers fan after hating them since 1974. She loved Mike Richards! And the other thing that made me laugh was the emails I was getting from friends asking if I was still breathing. Most of the time I wrote back and said NO!
