I'd rather have a defensive stalwart on the last pairing of our defense than a defense man that doesn't do anything particularly well.

Parent is more suitable to our team than Lee would be. If you can get Lee by dropping one of our less valuable players then sure, go for it. Otherwise, keep Parent and watch him transform in to the well-rounded, transitional, defensive d-man that we are sorely lacking on this team.

I doubt he makes it to use anyways, there are quite a few teams that wouldn't mind giving him a shot I would think.

If he clears, trade Ellington for him.

He won't clear waivers. I'd be shocked.

Going by the last time he was traded, if the only thing he's worth is an abstract concept, then that's quite telling of the kind of value he has right now.

Would you apply the same logic for Leopold then?

Canucks should pick him up purely for business purposes.

Think of how many "Lee" jerseys they could sell in this market...

Wait, he's not Asian?

Toronto could probably sell a lot of "Lee" jerseys too.

This made me laugh when it was posted, but it's especially good now that he is being given away for free to anyone who wants him.

HNIC got it bang on, looks like nobody wants this guy, as he's supposed to be a offensive dman, but he isn't producing, and just from online scouting, he's mistake prone and cruddy defensively.

And so unless a team is desperate for defense depth, he should be going to the farm.

I heard crow tastes wonderful with a bit of lemon. The acid really breaks down the otherwise tough, sinewy meat. Alternatively, a red wine reduction would be lovely.

Why not sign Lee? Unless he's a headcase and that's why Sens cut him loose. But surely he's better than Bieksa, he has more goals than him in the last 2 years and surely not playing 24 mins a night with PP time.

It doesn't matter who the Canucks bring in, no defencemen in this league would ever play over Bieksa. Maybe play with him to form a super 1st pairing ( or cover up for him whatever you choose to call it) but there is no way Bieksa will be sat or have his playing time cut.

AV would much sooner sit Edler or the Twins before sitting Bieksa. Its shocking how many mistakes this guy has made over the years without even missing a shift. Stupid penalties, missed assignments, brutal turnovers.....there is nothing that can convince AV that Bieksa is not playing well.

That said , I don't believe Lee is an answer for this team

Ellington for Lee. Recall if injuries mount. Gillis, make it happen.

Considering you never stuck your neck out and disagreed with him it's awfully small of you to start talking crow.

Putting aside the ridiculous logic (by which it would be simply astonishing that M-A Bergeron is still jobless), no he does not.

Lee has 0 goals to Bieksa's 1 this year, 2 to Bieksa's 3 last year and 2 to his 11 the year before.

Not to mention the fact that Lee has been totally unable to crack a thoroughly mediocre Sens defense corps..
