If Subban plays Kovalchuk like he plays Ovechkin and Crosby, I think we won't have much to fear from the Devils. Subban really shines at negating superstars.

Might actually help the kid get back on track. We have one very clear ennemy tonight. You cannot ask for easier target for our D.
What about negating semi-stars like Dustin Penner?

Less pressure is on semi-stars than on stars, so they have less puck handling time or are the focus of the play less often. Thus, 1 on 1 negating skill are much less useful against a diversified team than against superstars.

When Crosby is coming in your zone, even without the puck, you know you gotta go after him and prevent him from doing anything. When it's just Penner, not so much.

Edit: Nevermind. He's been benched.

Why? Hedberg has a winning streak, as does his team. A repetition of the Oiler game would easily result in a rout, not to mention that the Habs played last night.

I'll be at work for this one, so I'll have the choice of working, or checking up on this game from time to time.

Go habs go!

So what D-pairings will we see with Weber in the line up? And since Subban is a healthy scratch, will he be on the first PP blueline?
I'm very excited to see him get a chance, that's what I was hoping for. Now he has to use this opportunity, he won't get many of these....

According to Tony:

"There is a situation that has infiltrated the Canadiens' locker room."

According to him, some players aren't happy and it isn't a great locker room anymore. Gomez is supposedly indirectly involved since no one wants to play with him anymore.

Edit: I now know the specifics of this fight, PM me for details.

That sounds like pretty direct involvement to me!

Habs win 2-0, Eller and Weber!

Cammy was clearly burned. Gonchar could have actually done something. I know people complain that Cammy didn't try to back check but he didn't have any hope of catching Penner and Subban was back further. Seems pretty common sense to me and he obviously didn't do the turn over on purpose.

Does Tony have friend who his friend with hockey players? probably

Does the word of a friend of a hockey player who have a opinion on his locker room is reality? probably not

Please stop posting Marinaro's untraceable, unconfirmable garbage. The guy will say anything to get people tuning in to his show, it doesn't need to be repeated here.

Same goes here. I did a double take when I saw the lineups. I'll have to go check who's taller. The law of averages states that Stephen has to be taller..

Ok I just checked; they are the same height.. lol!! The law of averages was wrong...
