Looks like Biron tonight

NYDNRangers Jesse Spector
Martin Biron at the action end of the morning ice, looks lke he will start for #NYR

AGrossRecord Andrew Gross
Very much a tea leaf on Biron based on which net he's defending at morning skate.

Ugh, and Torts's insistance on putting Prust on the 3rd line is getting annoying. I love the guy, but jeez he is a 4th liner/PKer.

If you want to believe that the Rangers are "for real", anything less than three points out of this series is unacceptable. I'd like to say they would need to win both games out right, but this is a divisional game that historically masks the weaknesses of the inferior team. This is also a series which Ranger fans usually walk away from disappointed, so if I am to believe this team is legit, I need to see wins in exactly this situation.

Yeah, it's annoying. The fact that he has been playing games with over 15-16 minutes of icetime this season is pretty laughable, IMO.

He's a grinder, mucker and a scrapper. 4th line + PK duty is plenty for him.

he is top 3 on te team as far as being a forechecker and creates tons of chances for his line mates stop being a coach and enjoy the game man the kid is way better then people give him credit for.

Enough of Biron starting once every two games (it seems).

We need Hank to get into a flow. I guess, maybe, Torts is saving Lundqvist's best for last.

Oh boy. Not only were these exact words typed multiple times in the 10/11 GDT, both Moulson and PAP went on to score in an Islander win.

Yep, I recall thinking that we lose games like these. Really need to break that habit.

Lundqvist has played 4 straight games. Biron has not played since the Calgary game. The Rangers have 3 3 games in 4 nights sequences over the next 3 weeks. Torts wants get Biron into 3-4 games per month.

We're trying to get Henrik under 70 games at least this season.

Seems we're sticking to the promise this year. Hopefully not under 60 though, or itd be damn near impossible to stretch the 30 win season streak.

It's a cliche, but when these two teams meet, you can throw the records out.

Oh, okay. I see. It just might be the unusually inconsistency I see that wants him to play more. Just my opinion, but he needs to play a little more to play his game.

From what it seems to me, it looks like Tortorella's making Lundqvist have a Tim Thomas workload. I don't like that at all.

Lundqvist sucks this part of the season historically, as it was well documented. Starting Biron is a message from Torts to Hank about PIT game performance. If we win I can bet Torts will keep Biron for MSG.

it's back to back games. I fully expected Biron to get one start vs his old team...............one second we say we need a good back up like Biron to give Hank rest and the next we say ride him hard because he had a few games where he struggled

stick with the plan and give Hank rest. he will get used to the time off and be better for it

BTB vs the worst team in the league by far... if we lose these games we have bigger problems than goaltending.

We should be able to start Biron both games and be fine, its kind of unfair to Henrik's stats to start him only against tough teams, but honestly, strategically its a good plan.

I agree. No question that I'm happy we have a great backup in Biron.

Hank's only played 18-19 games. I don't get this. Rest from what? I would of thought Tortsie would of started Biron once every five games during the end of December into February to have Hank good to go when we need him the most to make our run.

I think it is more than just the rest. It is a goaltender management budding for first time in this club.

This a laughable statement right here. A message? Really? You need to relax a little bit and stop talking out of you ass.

Its apparent you didn't watch the Pittsburgh game. The team was thoroughly dominated. That loss had absolutely nothing to do with Lundqvist, but if you want to make stuff up, that's OK.

Yep. Lundqvist was hung out to dry on the Pens three goals. All in the freaking slot.

I hope you guys ****ing kill the Islanders and it's a massive NYR celebration in the stands. Anything to put an end to this mockery that is NYI hockey.

You guys should win this one with ease. If you can't beat this NYI lineup than I might feel more sorry for you guys than I do for the Islanders

Not really liking it. White actually created a few chances in the Pens game. Boogaard should be scratched. Him and Gilles will have some kind of stupid nothing fight, and he'll be worthless for the remaining 59:30.

They better not come out flat.
