REALLY not a fan of the random new character to facilitate a love story device. Hated it last season and hate it now.

It happens in every damn series of any kind, comedy, drama, freaking silent movie too im sure

Agreed.

While the jokes aren't as funny as they were in the earlier, they aren't half bad.

Good god let them bang already.

Probably why I avoid network stuff generally. Actually thinking about it, in most of my favorites its not there.

It doesn't bother me if there is a pattern in a show of character x getting a new GF/BF as part of the show like a lot of sitcoms. But to intentionally stick one into a situation where they have on-going sexual tension and NOT have that pattern of new relationships/characters and do it anyway out of the blue drives me crazy to no end. Get less cliche people.

In a show like Psych I can take it every once in a while cause its not exactly high drama. But to do it blatantly within 17 episodes twice is really bad form for anyone. Thankfully though it looks like hes on the way out already given the way the finale ended.

Jon Gries was in the finale though Only Pretender actor who pops up occasionally anymore, other than Denton anyway.

To me Psych is still progressively getting worse. Usually a show hits a stride around season 3 then gets worse.

I kinda like it sporadic. Couple serious episodes a season, a few theme shows, etc.

It's still season 5. I can't believe this season started in the summer and they're starting again tonight. What's up with that? The last episode was in September!

I hate these huge gaps in between shows, it just kills momentum. I still like this show though.

I'm afraid they might have rushed the whole Shawn and Juliet thing. It's like in Chuck, having the sexual tension is great until you get to the end and they are finally together. I hope they don't put too much focus on their relationship cause it usually kills a show.

it was a twin peaks spoof, hence some cast members from twin peaks, the town name(dual spires) and different song in the intro.

Personally, I love when shows cut the crap with the whole sexual tension thing. I just find will-they-won't-they things to be overdone and annoying. Chuck really got good again once they got together last season. As for Shawn and Juliet, I don't think it's a big enough part of the show to make it a big deal. We all know his first love is Gus anyways.

I'd have to agree now. After a few episodes together, it doesn't affect the dynamic of the show. It's still hilarious and the chemistry between the characters is great.

I still like the swordplay between characters if it's not overdone. As the drop-dead gorgeous Stana Katic would say...

I don't care for the show's season finales. They cram a bunch of arc backstory into one episode and call it a finale. Without being emotionally vested in the storyline, as if it were generated slowly over a season, it's tough to get drawn in and care. The dialogue and interplay between Shawn and the other characters--especially Gus--is the best part of the show. The finales reduce that to a minimum to fit in the other fluff of a traditional finale and as such, it's less fulfilling as the regular silly episodes.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of the Yin Yang storyline, mainly because the only reason it ever pops up is in the season (sometimes midseason) finales. The show doesn't need a continuing storyline like that, it's fine without it. That being said, it was a decent episode still.
