Ryan Getzlaf

So I was just browsing NHL.com and I found this quite surprising.. Its only a one liner but I didnt think anyone would have that much fate in Getzlaf. We all know he has the potential to do it but i didnt think many people outside of fans of the anaheim ducks would believe it.

http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=539154

apparently they expect getzlaf to stay healthy the entire season and LEAD THE NHL IN POINTS

Ive said many times that Getzlaf has the ability to be the best player in the world. That said I don't think he leads the league in scoring yet alone score more thAn 115 points in order to do it.

He could if his effort level was more consistent and his conditioning was better. I think he'll hit 90+ but I doubt he'll lead the league.

I could see him hitting 100 mark once, maybe twice in his prime. But I don't see it happening this season.

SHL, ducks fans?

Hey fellow ducks fans i was wondering if you guys wanna join the Simulation Hockey League(we use the SimonT Hockey Simulator for simming the games)... its a good and fun league and i think there are a lot of people on here that are in it because there was another thread about it here a long time back. Check it out:

Mod edit: (contact OP via PM)

Its not a GM league, basicly you create your player and your player gets drafted and sign onto a team and his career starts from there. How does it work? a high-tech hockey simulation program..ask about it if ur curious

We are trying to recruit as much people as we can so we can get the junior league started for new players, prospects, and unsigned free agents. Also recruiting people gets you points which is used to improve your player (ex. i just referred you guys to the league so if you decide to join you'd say that i referred you so ill get a point)

If you have any question just ask me, ill explain anything that concerns you and help you get started if your interested. Its really fun and worth it and the community is really nice and friendly(also a real good pass time if you have nothing to do), its not a point task league but just stay active on it and support your team once you get drafted!

Also when creating your player say you where recruited by sarmo!

hope you join! have fun, btw we need more duck fans on the site lol just PM me for help

30 goals for Koivu?

he's never broken the 30 goal barrier, but he has 9 in 26 games... if he stays healthy, i think he has a good shot at having a career year, in terms of goal scoring.

whatchu guys think?

What stick does Teemu Selanne uses exactly?

Hi, i'm a big Teemu Fan, i'm from austria and 19 years old. i play amateur ice hockey.
now my question is: with what pattern does teemu plays? how many flex? , i haven't found pictures or anything. Can i buy a exactly same curve in a shop? Has anyone pictures, or a link where i can buy such a stick?
Yours TS08

Welcome to the forums TS08.

I don't exactly know what flex, but I would assume somewhere between 85-100. And he uses an Easton S19 right now.

I am sure he has his own type of curve, and since he's not sponsored by Easton, he doesn't have his curve on the shelf. Getzlaf however does have his own.

Hope this helps.

Player's names being on the stick doesn't mean they use that curve, they're just used for marketing purposes. That particular Easton curve was the Lidstrom curve 2 years ago. So if you want the same curve used by a player, you'll have to do some research to find out.

anywhere i had read that teemu uses an 102 flex. his curve is like a golie stick big pattern, wide, and the toe is open, like a midcurve.
