If you guys try hard enough, you'll win them both. This Islanders team is so bad that saying they are horrendous doesn't do it enough justice. I'm predicting a blowout for you guys tonight.
If you want to believe that the Rangers are "for real", anything less than three points out of this series is unacceptable. I'd like to say they would need to win both games out right, but this is a divisional game that historically masks the weaknesses of the inferior team. This is also a series which Ranger fans usually walk away from disappointed, so if I am to believe this team is legit, I need to see wins in exactly this situation.
Hard to say if they go on a 10 game winning streak and start beating teams like Pitt because these "losses to the Isles" wake them up than that's fine
But I would agree with you. This is pretty fair if the Rangers blow it to the damn isles THIS year of all years it's cause for a near board cardiac arrest. We'll ignore the early season 5-4 loss
Not really liking it. White actually created a few chances in the Pens game. Boogaard should be scratched. Him and Gilles will have some kind of stupid nothing fight, and he'll be worthless for the remaining 59:30.
Really, if Gilles feels the need to justify his presence on an NHL roster by punching someone, better that it's Boogaard than someone who makes an actual on-ice contribution.
he is top 3 on te team as far as being a forechecker and creates tons of chances for his line mates stop being a coach and enjoy the game man the kid is way better then people give him credit for.
I agree 100%. I'm not sure people really watch Prust's game. He's a victim of the #'s...otherwise he is playing stellar hockey. I feel very comfortable knowing Prust is on the ice. He takes care of both ends of the ice nicely.

The Rangers are not for real; not this year. Watch the young guys. If they continue to play well remain optimistic. If they faulter be concerned. We are building to be for real two or three years from now.
Also, any game against the Islanders can go either way and it doesn't matter how good or bad the teams are. It's that emotionally driven. So, I wouldn't read anything into the results of these two games. If we get pushed around or have them skate circles around us, that's something else. But whether we win or not has to be taken with a grain of salt.

Not a bad idea. I've been thinking about it. Hey, it'll get me away from the cellar dwellars like you who support a flailing franchise and try to talk down to people who have had enough. Hey, hey, go on now. You have some eggrolls to buy and a team to support.
I've always had a secret soft spot for the Rangers. It's just that certain people make it almost intolerable to consider the switch, but with the Islanders Kansas City bound in a few seasons, maybe the transition can start now. Trottier went to the Devils board, maybe I'll hang around here more often.
