Our D has been solid. The only way he's getting in is for O'Donnell. OD has been solid especially in +/- but may need a rest at some point. I don't see the rest being scratched unless its for injury or to send a message and that would only be done to one of Coburn or Carle.

7th D. And if Bartulis is playing really well in practice I could see him getting waived and sent down. We may need him next year though if Odonnell retires and we can't find a replacement cheap enough.

I don't know about anybody else but I'm banking on Walker's potent right hand shot to deliver the PP from the gutter....just like Nolan Baumgartner

OD is a quality defender (check out his career numbers... he's actually fairly underrated) but defensemen of his type are never very expensive in the offseason. Their value is highest right before the trade deadline when injury plagued teams get desperate for playoff depth.

Walker, however, is a piece of ****.

I know that for sure. I was pushing for Flyers to get him in the off season, which in turn I was really surprised when the Flyers got him! Players like Odonnell are a need for all teams

He should be 8th D, but he won't. He's going to have to wait his turn.

Bartulis won't be waived because he has a 1-way deal and we couldn't recall him, unless we wanted to give someone a free defensemen for half their cap hit again.

He should be either traded for future considerations or sent down to AHL.

Though, we have plenty of D-men in the Phantoms.

Homer and his loyalty towards every single player, regardless if it helps or hurts the team is SCREAMING for this to happen. I can easily see it.

As much as it pains me to say this, in a cap free NHL Homer would probably be a pretty kick ass GM. Because, ya know, there'd be no math involved.

You never know... Sather was a very smart GM in Edmonton. They took the cuffs off in NY and he can't control himself.

Good point, but perhaps Homer is the anti-Sather? Unless the cap goes away, the world may never know.
