Mark Dekanich recalled, Rinne out 2-4 weeks after knee scope

Pekka's agent Jay Grossman tweets...

Quote:
#Preds Rinne to miss games due to injury, being examined by Drs. right now
http://mobile.twitter.com/jay_grossm...28448796393472

And Dirk has confirmed with the team that Dekanich was recalled, which I was sent an anonymous tweet about yesterday...

Nooooooooooo

I have full confidence in Lindback though. Maybe we'll see Dex with his first NHL start at some point?

Pickard recalled to Milwaukee. Interesting since this makes Smith the #1 and Pickard the #2.

Man, a year ago I never thought I'd ever type that sentence. How things change!

Here's to hoping this is nothing serious and Lindback once again exceeds expectations in his absence!

I like trotz, but ever since sully was day to day for 2 years........

I hope it is just a few starts, a knee strain, maybe even tied to his last injury, but that is pure speculation on my part. but I fear the worst

I don't do the Tweety Tweet Twitter thing (other than what people copy on here), but would it be common for Peks agent Grossman to put out injury info or was he responding to a question somebody posed? Just thought it was curious that this particular injury to this particular player was put out there in this fashion since I don't recall hearing about things like this.

As far as the actual injury, I wonder if it was his right knee on a kick save he had Wed night. I remember watching the CBJ feed and thinking he was kind of awkward on that particular play. Probably not, but that's the only thing I remember from that game if that's when the injury occurred.

Side note, it looks like Legwand is OUT again tomorrow (two weeks of day to day )

What is with all the injuries this year? Did the guys not condition right or something? This seems shockingly high...

Rinne Update

Per Mullen: "Predators starting goaltender Pekka Rinne will miss Saturday’s game against Carolina with a lower-body injury, and will likely miss Monday’s game at Atlanta, Coach Barry Trotz said Friday......Trotz said the injury is not related to the lower-body injury Rinne suffered at the start of the season that caused him to miss three games."

Let's look on the bright side, the report did NOT say "Trotz says", so automatically it has more validity!

You know if Trotz was in charge of the intelligence of the United States there would be no need to shut down Wikileaks because no one would believe any of the information.

Well, it was due time for a goalie controversy. How else will the team trade Rinne for picks and players?

Took less than two hours to go from 2 games to 2-4 weeks. Impressive misinformation.
