How long, and will a RW be called up or will we just plug white in his place?
i dunno, it was vicious and only a 2 minute penalty might not get anything. But i know the nhl has a hardon for hits to the head this season... so worse case i would think a game or so.
every ****ing elbow called in the NHL is to the head...ive never seen an elbow to the chest...should every elbowing penalty be 5, a game, and a suspension? callahan definitely had his elbow extended, but neilson had his body crouched down and head down, he also wasnt injured on the play and was killing the penalty the shift afterwards.

yes i know but with how strict the nhl has been this year i could very well see this being a suspension
and the term blindside is used way to often and incorrectly. its not a blindside hit if the player being his has his head down or ****ing eyes closed. a blindside hit is when u come from behind or from the side.
I wouldn't be shocked if he did, but I seriously doubt that Cally gets a suspension. He has no priors, and is known as a hard--but CLEAN--little player.
Callahan is a battering ram, and he plays kind of a wild game. What Im saying is it wasnt a pre-calculated hatchet job like the Ricards or Matt Cooke hits.
With that said, its the exact type of play the league is trying to cut down on.

yeah I could see him not being suspended because of his respectable reputation but if cally was the type of player who was known for taking it over the edge this would be an auto suspension. example: glenncross would be automatically suspended. at the same time brieres crosscheck wasnt terrible and didn't look like he meant to cause harm just looked like he wanted to send a message, and he got suspended
Don't see a suspension here. While it was a legit call I didn't see any intent to injure. Cally almost looked like he had skated past Neilson when he hit him. Yes, the elbow came up, but I don't think he was going for a head shot...more like he was expecting an impact and was protecting himself.

he crosschecked the isle dead in the face off a face-off.
c'mon son.
the cammalleri on nino would possibly be a better example of what you're trying to say.

he cross checked him yes but it didn't look like his intent was to hurt him looked like it was just a pissed off move just giving him a shot, it wasn't malicious

idk man. i don't see how crosschecking someone in the face, intentionally, isn't malicious- it was no accident.
anywho, don't want to take this thread ot so, whatevs.
