Considering he once 35 goals and 32 goals in a season, I'm gonna say something was working once upon a time, whether it was the wraparound or he was playing a different game. He's only, what, 27? His beard is graying. Maybe he faked his documents to get over here and he's out of his prime? Or he had some crazy trauma at some point?

I stand by my assessment of him in the preseason. He is Marcel Hossa. But paid better.
Frolov has an awesome slap shot, a wicked wrister and can stick handle thru an entire defense, and every coach in LA was on his ass about shooting more. He seemed to only score when it didn't matter.

Wow, and to think that the Wild offered Gaborik as a UFA straight up for Frolov with one more year on his contract. Again, I said it before, Frolov seemed very disinterested last year in LA. There were times when Murray would call him out personally, scratch him or bench him for the entire 3rd period. And afterwards he would seem totally unaffected by the reprimand.

Man, I wouldn't think you guys would already want to waive him. I mean, maybe I did think that, that's why I posted this thread. And to think he wanted $5million per on a multi-year deal...

Could be the most talented player in the NHL.

I mean, it's impressive that guys like Crosby can dominate and score at a 120+ point pace but few people in the WORLD have mastered the art of invisibility.

Last night, he took from the defensive zone, skated nicely around a couple of Islanders. Totally in control and moving faster than I've seen him as a Ranger.

I can honestly say that I was surprised.

Edit: Apparently, that was it for the season.

Fro looked much better in L.A., even last season when he was struggling.

I'm not usually so harsh on players, but he has just been garbage. Plays decent in the corners but still does nothing else. I seriously want him off the team.

I stood up for Frolov for a large part of the season, but even I have given up on him. Gaborik's been back for a while now and he hasn't been the winger we expected and needed him to be. It would be ridiculous to not trade him before the deadline passes, he clearly has no future here.

I too, had been saying, "Let's give him a few games with Gaborik before we run him off," but that's come and gone... I can't imagine we keep him.

I'd love to see him or fedotenk-ohhhh get the axe when drury comes back

And then bump boyle over to the wing

Don't think he's going anywhere until the deadline though...and even then here might not be any taker for that bum

Why Fedotenko? He's been nothing but great on the 3rd line. He's on pace for ~40 points...pretty much the type of production I'd hope for from that spot.

Because who else?

First choice is frolovand after that it would have to be feds.....I personally still think ec has value in the line up ... for now

Feds has been serviceable for sure but I can't really see a case for him to be in the line up over someone else

EC made an unbelievable move and made a great pass to frolov right in front with just the goalie to beat and he once again couldnt score...

He gets great looks. hes a mediocre player. 3rd line at best.

but lets remember how good of a price/years we got him for.
