Is it super bowl weekend already?

I hate early games.

Ya, I checked it out last night, I can't even understand where all that hate comes from. I'm guessing its all the cups. Either way, its about time for this team to break out of this .500 funk.

We've beaten some pretty good teams lately (without Markov). This is another great opportunity for us to measure exactly how good we are against a top team and what our priorities on the trade front should be given the cap room Markov's injury gives us.

Bob Mackenzie:

Hearing PK Subban will be healthy scratch again tonight. No surprise. Weber played well. MTL won. Don't mess with a winning lineup.

how the **** do you go from playing 20-25 minutes per game to being scratched 2 games in a row.

Retarded.

Using the Devils game as a measuring stick of who to dress today is retarded.

This is why nothing good could come out of the Subban scratch. The team either loses or they win and Martin doesn't want to insert one of his best d-men into the lineup fearing it would ruin some sort of chemistry.

I can't bring myself to complain, we have 7 healthy, capable dmen. A luxury we haven't had in recent seasons. I'd rather have to decide who to sit rather than worry about inserting a weak player

exactly. The devils are playing garbage. To say he played well against the Devils, well forget a comparison, it's just no measuring stick.

So what we have to wait for the habs to lose to see PK back in the lineup? GJ Martin... I'd love to see PK yaps Thortons ear off

Yes, Weber looked good in our drubbing of the worst team in the conference and their pathetic offense, but Subban gives us a much better chance to win this game. I didn't read much of the Subban scratch thread but I think he has been amazingly solid this year. Taking last years team with MAB and no Markov, and comparing it to this years team with Subban and no Markov, it's like night and day. Subban is a huuuuge reason that the 09-10 that went 15-20-3 without Andrei is now 13-5-2 without him this year.

Certainly hope PK isn't a scratch for this game. The Sharks aren't exactly depleted and struggling like the Devils.
