Fedotenko plays for keeps?

If Fedotenko stays consistent the rest of the season, would you re-sign him? And if so, How much you think he should get?

If he continues to play this way then absolutely, assuming his contract demands don't get silly. He knows exactly what Tortorella wants and you know what you're getting in him. Very good bottom 6 player.

I'm not sure. Depends if one of the younger players steps up or not. Feds has been good and I've always liked him as a player but with Grachev, MZA, Kreider, Werek, Horak, Bourque, and Thomas coming up, the best option might involve letting Feds go so the youngsters can get some big club playing time.

While Fedotenko has played well for us, I still cant help but think that if Sather hadn't given away that he would be perfect for that 3rd line role right now.

1m for one year - he is solid, reliable, and can hold down the fort until a kid is ready. He's an excellent bottom 6 player and we shouldn't undervalue his steadiness.

Bring him into camp again on a try-out...see if a kid is better for the spot.

I doubt he'll make it to camp next year without a contract.

Feds is a professional 3 to 4th liner, need guys like that, they dont expect alot of ice time but they make the most of the time they do get.

I agree with the majority saying one year at one million. If if wants anything north of that I'd laugh and just call up a kid.

No way he's without a contract again this off season.

we're still only a third in. If he plays like this, and we are strapped for cash then he isnt the worst 3rd line option out there.

I thought Fedotenko would bring a bit more offense, but then realized that he was surrounded by incredible talent in Pittsburgh to feed off.

I like the guy, he is very responsible and plays a good all-around game. It all depends on who could replace him from within, but considering what he costs, I would love to see him back. He's pretty solid.

Yeah. Feds has his role and fills it very well. We have a very good bottom six. Feds, Boyle, Prust, then add Drury to the mix and even Boogaard and I really like our bottom 6. I was against his signing initially but he has been a plus.

I'd have no problem bringing Feds back if the price was right.

i think before talking about next year, the first question is where does feds fit after drury and prospal return. not saying he deserves it but he'd have to be one of the candidates to either get bumped to the 4th line or to the press box cause who else is gonna sit if EC is with gaborik

Todd White goes down definitely, and worst case scenario you alternate Feds with Boogaard to have a different type of 4th line depending on which team you face.

todd white definitely goes down...but he's not in the lineup. so when both drury and prospal return, 2 guys get bumped from the lineup. 1 of them gets waived/sent down and the other gets sent to the press box

i'm not saying that i'd sit feds but lets see where he fits when the full roster is there before signing him to an extension

He has done a nice job. But I'm not sure I want to resign him. You got to think some of our prospects will be ready for the nhl next year.
