On that note, White is getting rewaived every 30 days, was my understanding, so that we can send him down at will if and when Drury and Prospal return to action.
If the Devils are still done at the deadline deal then why the hell not? The asking price for Langs is a 2nd rounder to begin with. A conditional is bonus and the Todd White experiment is a low risk high reward situation. Only problem is I have no desire to help the Rangers push for the Cup.
Ducks could use him on the 3rd line. Atleast he could win faceoffs and push someone like Voros, Chipchura or Marchant out of the lineup. White's 1+1 in 14 games would rank 9th among Ducks forwards in points this season.
OMG, Todd White is a legit 1b centre in the past. What's going on? Reminds me of Montreal's situation with Dustin Boyd. He's in the same doghouse but has some good upside. Certainly not as much as White but still...
The Rangers just have no room for him. He was gobbled up on the depth chart and realistically, wasn't given too much of a chance. Even Tortorella early on said "I don't really know what to make of him!" or something like that. Made it seem sort of like he was already counted out before he even got a chance to play.
I think the Canucks should grab him for their 4th line. I know he's not a typical crash and bang 4th line player but, as somebody mentioned, he got 73 points a couple seasons ago so he can really play and that's what the Canucks need for their 4th line.
Glass - White - Hansen would be a helluva 4th line. Can anyone comment on his defensive ability? Could he play a 4th line role fairly well? Remember, just because he's on the 4th line doesn't mean he has to be snarly and go out and hit everyone. The Canucks just need someone who can handle the puck, keep it out of his own zone, and maybe get some scoring chances every now and then.
