Iginla Isn't Worth Too Much!!!

But take it for what it is worth. Kings probably would be first in line if Iginla was being shopped.
Jerome Iginla could use a change in address. Over the last few seasons his numbers have dropped off drastically. The Flames aren't going to do too much(this or any year soon) so the best they could do is offload him now before his value goes into the toilet! Though the LA Kings are flush with young talent do they mortgage the future for a RWinger that has seen better days! For the Kings this move would be a short term solution for a long time problem...I had to laugh when I heard what some people thought he was worth(Schenn,Loktionov,Hickey and 2011 first rounder)...give your head a shake...maybe a young prospect...you can have Hickey(and not either Schenn or Loktionov)...and possibly two second rounders...no more...Dream on Flames fans dream on!!!

Kings Need Wingers Not Centremen!

The Los Angeles Kings are flush with centremen young and old. They need a bonfide scoring winger to complement Kopitar and company. Any speculation that has Spezza coming to LA is fantasy and no more, unless Ottawa is willing to eat half his deal...which I'm thinking won't happen anytime soon!!!But the Sens need to go into a rebuild like Calgary since they are a aging club without much depth or hope!!!

omg.... this would be the worst thing that can happen to us.
This would give 29 teams room to breath and would make us looking like idiots.
Lombardi is the only GM out of 30 who acted like the cap is going down.

If that really happen Kovalchuks salary of 5.8 mill per year looks like a steal.

Anschutz will be excited to hear this news.
His GM is always the only one who plays different than 29 other GM's and he is always on the wrong side of the table...........

Only if you care about AEG's profits. Are you an employee?

As a Kings fan, the cap hit is all that matters.

Murray's only option at forward without playing Westgarth is using a defenseman. It's not like the Kings are against the cap and can't call up a forward. Why not give Schenn his 9th game and then send him back?

This does give breathing room for all contenders, and more space for non contenders to make huge offers to the next ufa group.

It does help us in the same way. It all depends if dean uses it .

What? Dean knew he was sending Schenn back to juniors. Call up a forward. The Kings have room on the roster. Dean also knows that Poni isn't available until Thursday.

I think he's referring to the assertion that the cap may go up next season.

Montreal has only 9 shots so far. Still 1-1.

Come on Canadiens, beat SJ in regulation.

This rumor is false. It's 2-1 Habs now.

If you paid any attention to what ALL 30 GM's have been talking about is the next CBA, not the salary cap next year. PAY THE **** ATTENTION!!!

This whole post, like all the rest you've made, deserves one added response........

i think those 2 back to back wins shows DL that he has no reason to trade yet

and he is very conservative when it comes to trades so forget trades

he'll add depth (i.e. Halpern type players) at the trade deadline

but thats all

I agree. When I meant we could/would make a trade I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. I their is just some holes he needs to fill. And a temporary fix as you say will almost certainly be his MO.
