Playing With Fire was an awesome read. Still fairly recent and it depicts his life and struggles very well, from junior all the way through his struggles with the NHL Substance Abuse program.

***** read!

I third Playing with Fire. Just got it today and it grabs you like you'll never believe from the very first page.

Alright, this guy does a lot of reading, which is why I wanted a newer because there is a good chance he's read it if its an good hockey book with some age. I will ask him if he has read Playing with Fire if not I'll buy it for him.

The Code.

It's all about the history of "protection" in the NHL. Good read. Bit of a stretch for this sports writer to pull off the book, but he does a good job, simple, readable, with lots of fun quotes.

Read that one as well. Personally, I preferred 'Playing with Fire'.
But I also enjoyed 'The Code'.

The Code wasn't bad too, also liked 'Black Ice'
