I think that a team like Edmonton might take a look at him.

Is he healthy? I thought he was gone for the year with injury. How can you waive a player that isn't healthy? You can't, so I guess he must be good to go. Sutter land.

Uh, what?

He's healthy, as per Bob McKenzie's twitter. He's being sent down to get adjusted to the pro game after having serious knee surgery.

What's so hard to understand about that?

Technical question: Does a team have to waive a player when he's being sent down for a conditioning assignment?

Edmonton did just lose Horcoff...hmmm?

That said, if they really wanted Stone, they would have re-signed him last June.

CGY's Stone is on waivers because he's healthy now after knee surgery last season. Didn't go thru waiver process in fall. Needs to now.

He is at best a 4th liner. I loved his passion and energy, but he has no hands at all. He will go through I am certain, not many teams out there need an improvement on their 4th line.

The Canucks are looking for a 4th line center, aren't they?

Isn't Stone a winger? He played wing in Edmonton.

No.

Although the reason for Stone being on waivers has been explained, so the point is moot...

this kid kind of screwed things up for himself for having a successful NHL career as decent 4th line agitator due to maturity and attitude issues. I believe he had 2 drunk and disorderly conduct arrests when he was in Wilkes-Barre.

Edmonton had him last year and didn't bother re-signing him. Doubt they revisit that. Stone is like Jones but not as good a skater and without any offense. Maybe a bit tougher, but not much.

I hope he doesn't get claimed. I'd like for him to get back in shape and come back as a 4th liner. I liked his energy in edmonton
