For me, Nash, Umberger, Russell, Voráček, Filatov, Johansen, Moore and Goloubef are untouchable.
After last night, here's how I see it:
Nash: Untouchable (as much for symbolic reasons as production),
Voracek and Filatov: too young and talented to give up on,
I don't know enough about the kids in Springfield to state an opinion.
There are others who have value, but none who I'd be very upset to see go. I like Juice, RJ, Vermette, and others; but I'd trade all of them for a team that is more skilled and competitive. And I don't want anyone back who's been here before - no JWill, no Nik Z, no Hainsey (especially no Hollywood!) - they've all been a part in what's gotten us to this point. I want new and shiny, dammit!
This is a new feeling for me, I usually hate the thought of losing players and hope my team will magically get better with the guys I know. Magic's gone. Changes need to be made or this team is headed to the dumper. Sorry if this contributes to the general insanity, but I'm feeling very grouchy, this morning.
